Update 1: the opening update (ended July 24)
Be The Final Boss’s first numbered update ran from July 14 through July 24, closing at 5 a.m. ET (2 a.m. PT, 10 a.m. UK, 7 p.m. AEST). It added three new playable units — a Barbarian, a Mighty Orc, and a Skull King — plus a set of limited-time boosts: doubled summon-mutation odds, extra coin drops from enemy kills, and better shard-drop odds, on top of a new shard-fusion system for combining gear and a new “Demonic” mutation. The developer also rebalanced the game’s difficulty curve and adjusted several units’ stats. Several hundred players marked interest in the update on Roblox’s event calendar.
Update 2: the second update (ended July 31)
Update 2 ran July 23 through July 31, going live at 2 a.m. ET (11 p.m. PT July 22, 7 a.m. UK, 4 p.m. AEST) and closing at 5 a.m. ET on July 31. The developer never spelled out what was inside — the listing only promised more to come — but it pulled far more interest than the opening update, with over 130,000 players marking themselves interested on Roblox’s event page.

Update 3 went live July 30 at 10 a.m. ET (7 a.m. PT, 3 p.m. UK, midnight AEST July 31) and runs through August 7 at 10 a.m. ET. As with Update 2, the developer has only teased it so far, with no specifics yet on new units, mutations, or systems. It’s the most anticipated update yet, with over 200,000 players signed up.
Update 4 and Update 5: back-to-back in August
Two more updates follow the same pattern: Update 4 runs August 7 through August 14, and Update 5 picks up right after, running August 14 through August 21, both starting at 5 a.m. ET. Contents for both remain unannounced — the developer has scheduled the dates but hasn’t said what’s coming.
