Every weather event in Be The Final Boss, including what each one boosts, how long it lasts, and when the next one appears.

Weather in Be The Final Boss changes on a set cycle, and each shift does more than swap the sky. The active weather applies a temporary buff to your run, from faster coin gains to a higher chance of rolling mutated units. Reading the current weather correctly tells you exactly when to farm, when to fight, and when to summon.

Quick answer: As of Update 1 there are three weather events, each lasting 5 minutes. Gold Rush multiplies coins from kills by 1.75x, Shard Storm multiplies shard drop chance by 1.3x with one extra drop attempt, and Cursed Moon doubles your total summon mutation chance. A new event begins 10 minutes after the previous one ends.

All weather events, effects, and durations

Every weather event runs for the same 5 minutes, so the difference comes down to which buff is active and how you should spend that window. The table below breaks down each one.

When the next weather event spawns

Weather events do not run back to back. After an event ends, there is a 10-minute gap before the next one starts. That means each cycle covers 5 minutes of active weather followed by 10 minutes without a buff.

You can track both the current weather and the timer for the next one in the bottom-right corner of the screen. Use that timer to line up your actions, such as saving coins for a summon push during Cursed Moon or holding your farming energy for the moment Gold Rush kicks in.

How to get the most from each event

Because every buff only lasts 5 minutes, the payoff depends on what you prioritize while it is live. Match your play to the weather rather than splitting your attention.

  • Gold Rush: Commit to fights and rack up kills with your units so the 1.75x coin multiplier applies to as many enemies as possible.
  • Shard Storm: Keep killing to trigger drops. The 1.3x chance plus the extra roll attempt means more shards across all rarities.
  • Cursed Moon: Leave combat to your units and spend the window summoning, since the mutation chance is doubled.

Note: The three events above reflect Update 1. As the developers add more weather types, the roster and effects can expand, so recheck after major updates.
