Skill Ambers slot into Koo’s inventory in Beast of Reincarnation and give the blighted dog a set of on-command attacks and support buffs. They matter more than most collectibles because each one targets a specific enemy weakness or helps break through shields, so building a varied stash keeps you ready for whatever the game’s bosses throw at you. Most of them come from optional fights or from Merchant Golems, which makes them easy to walk past if you aren’t paying attention.
Quick answer: Skill Ambers are earned by defeating Wolf Elite Enemies along your main path, buying them from Merchant Golems stationed just before each Nushi’s lair, and clearing optional objectives across Chapters 2 through 4. Once you own one, open Koo’s inventory and equip it to a skill slot before your next boss fight.
Every Skill Amber, element, and where it comes from
Here is the full list of the offensive and support Skill Ambers worth tracking down, along with the element each one applies and the point where you can grab it. Skills unlocked through the Skill Tree, such as Lay Landmine and Taunt, and consumable skills like Bottles of Acid are not part of this list, since those come from exploration and progression rather than Ambers.

Add to Google Preferences →Chapter 2 Skill Ambers
Your first three Skill Ambers all appear in Chapter 2, and none of them require any real detour. The Frailty Fang comes to you automatically after the flashback sequence that shows how Emma and Koo first met. It carries the Rupture element and weakens enemies, making it your earliest tool for softening tough targets.

Shortly after you discover your first Dragon Vein Shrine, keep following your objective and you’ll run into a Wolf Elite Enemy. Beating it hands over the Binding Fang, which applies the Bind element to lock enemies down.

Near the end of the area, right before the Nushi’s lair, you’ll meet a Merchant Golem. He sells the Destructive Fang, a Destruction-element Amber that both damages and weakens whatever it hits. Buy it here so you head into the boss with an extra offensive option.

Chapter 3 Skill Ambers
Chapter 3 is the richest stretch for Skill Ambers, delivering six of them between two elemental Wolf drops, an optional Subcity, and another Merchant Golem. The chapter also has you crossing paths with the Nue Malefact several times, and two of the Ambers sit between those encounters.
Aquatic Fang and Shocking Fang
Between your second and third meetings with the Nue Malefact, two separate Wolf Elite Enemies stand along the path. Defeat them to collect the Aquatic Fang (Water) and the Shocking Fang (Electric). You run right past both foes while chasing your objective, so watch for any hostile wolves and don’t leave the fights unfinished.

Bull Incense
In the northeast of Chapter 3’s Mountainous Region, a small village hides a Subcity entrance beneath it. Inside is a gauntlet of Golems. Clear all of them and the Bull Incense becomes yours, a support Amber that strengthens Emma’s Vigor.

Archery Incense, Golem Incense, and Poison Fang
The Merchant Golem stationed just before the Chapter 3 Nushi’s lair stocks three Ambers at once. Archery Incense boosts Emma’s ranged attacks, Golem Incense raises her Defence, and Poison Fang adds the Poison element. If you can’t afford everything in one trip, later Merchants sell the same stock, so there’s no risk of missing one permanently.

Note: Buy and equip Poison Fang to Koo before you tackle the boss waiting past this Merchant. The Poison element gives you a reliable way to chip away at the fight.
Chapter 4 Skill Ambers
The Wolf Elite Enemy pattern continues into Chapter 4. After you exit the cave system in this area, another one waits along the route to your objective, and you can’t miss it. Take it down to claim the Corrosive Fang, which applies the Acid element.
Equipping a Skill Amber to Koo
Owning an Amber isn’t enough on its own. Open Koo’s inventory and assign the Amber to one of his skill slots, and its attack or buff becomes available to command during battle. You’ll know it worked when the skill shows up in Koo’s active loadout and you can trigger it in the next encounter.
Because Skill Ambers map to different elements, the practical move is to swap them based on what you’re about to fight. Match a boss’s weakness or bring a shield-breaking option, and the fights that felt punishing open up quickly.
