Beating the Beast Universal Tear Raid for Boundless Beast Gohan (UTDX)

What the raid rewards, which S+ units carry it, and how players are clearing it solo.

The Beast Universal Tear is the raid tied to the Update 3.0 Universal Fest Finale in Universal Tower Defense X, and clearing it is the path to unlocking Boundless Beast Gohan. The fight is a high-health endurance encounter, so the result is decided almost entirely by your unit choices and how well your damage scales across the run.

Quick answer: Enter the Beast Universal Tear raid, fill your slots with top-tier damage and support units, and survive until the boss is killed. Finishing the raid adds Boundless Beast Gohan to your unit collection.

What the Beast Universal Tear raid gives you

Beast Universal Tear is part of the Update 3.0 finale content cycle and functions like the game’s other raid-style boss encounters. The reward for completing it is Boundless Beast Gohan, the headline unit of the update. Because the raid scales enemy health to very high values, the encounter rewards strong single-target damage and consistent damage-per-second more than anything else.

The raid can be cleared solo. Players have reported full-clear solo runs, including setups that run on an AFK macro once units are placed and upgraded, which makes repeated attempts much less hands-on.

Best units to bring to the raid

This is a boss-health check, so prioritize the units with the highest scaling damage and the best support buffs. The S+ tier units are the strongest options for raids and other endgame content, and they are what you want anchoring your composition.

RoleRecommended units
Core DPS (S+)Jinoo (Shadow Monarch), Joyful Captain, The Strongest in History, The Strongest of Today
Versatile damage + utility (S+)King Sailor (Unrivaled), Ancient Mage (Sage)
Support and buffsVirtual Idol (Super Star), Love Goddess, Enlightened God (Holy)
Economy / early rampBulmo, Fastcart, Admiral (Magma)

Jinoo (Shadow Monarch) is one of the highest-DPS units in the game and scales well into the late waves, while The Strongest in History offers some of the best boss-killing output. Pairing those damage dealers with a support like Virtual Idol (Super Star) or Love Goddess raises your whole team’s effectiveness, and an economy unit such as Bulmo or Fastcart helps you reach full upgrades faster.

If you do not own the top units yet, strong A-tier options like Sasku (Great War), Rule (ROOM), or Underworld God can still contribute, but expect a longer, riskier run.

How to clear Beast Universal Tear

Build your loadout before queuing. Slot your highest S+ damage units first, then add at least one support buff unit and one economy unit so your early waves fund fast upgrades.
Enter the Beast Universal Tear raid from the in-game mode menu. You can run it solo, so you do not need to wait for a full lobby.
Place your economy and support units during the opening waves, then bring your DPS units online as cash allows. Get your core damage dealers to their highest upgrade tiers as quickly as possible.
Hold position through the boss phase. Beast Universal Tear is an endurance fight, so the goal is sustained damage rather than a single burst. Keep all units fully upgraded and let your DPS chew through the boss’s health pool.
Once your placement and upgrades are set, the run can finish hands-off. This is why many players use an AFK macro for the raid, leaving fully upgraded units to clear the remaining waves on their own.

Note: A macro only works after your board is fully built. If you go AFK too early, your units will not be upgraded enough to survive the boss.

How to confirm you unlocked Boundless Beast Gohan

You know the clear worked when the raid resolves as a win and Boundless Beast Gohan appears in your unit inventory after the results screen. If the run ends in defeat, the unit is not granted and you keep your existing roster unchanged.

The most common reasons a clear fails are leaving units under-upgraded, bringing too few high-DPS units to outpace the boss’s health, or going AFK before the board is fully set. Adding a support buff unit and an economy unit, and confirming your core damage dealers are maxed before the boss phase, fixes nearly all of those failures.
