Easy Games, the studio behind BedWars and Islands, has opened a round of moderator recruitment for its Discord servers. The call for applicants posted in the BedWars Discord sets out hard requirements, a fixed closing time, and a three-stage screening process that ends in a trial period lasting two to three months.
Quick info: Submit the Easy Games Staff Application form before 11:59PM GMT+1 on October 7. You must be 14 or older and active in the server, with a microphone.
Requirements to apply for Discord Moderator
Every applicant has to clear the same bar before the team will look at the rest of the form.
- You must be 14 years of age or older. No exceptions are made here.
- You must meet the minimum message count in the relevant server.
- You need to be helpful and active in the server.
- You need knowledge of the game.
- You need a microphone and a willingness to join voice channels.

The team can waive any listed condition if they decide you would still be a strong moderator, but the age rule is non-negotiable.
This is not the application for Anti-cheat Moderator. That role is handled separately.
Application deadline and how submissions are cut off
Applications close on October 7 at 11:59PM GMT+1, which is 22:59 UTC. Anything submitted after that point will not be accepted, so there is no value in finishing the form late and hoping it slips through.
Incomplete or incorrectly formatted applications are discarded, and the form asks you to answer in detail and follow the format on every page. The personal statement in particular is meant to be a full response, not a line. Applying purely to troll the staff team can get you banned from applying in the future.
The three phases of the Easy Games moderator process
Phase 1: Application review
Submitting the form starts phase one. Once the application window ends, every submission is reviewed to confirm the applicant meets the requirements. Soon afterward, contact will come from the Community Manager (sxg), the Lead Moderator (Potat), or a Senior Moderator.
Phase 2: Voice interview
Accepted applicants get a Discord server invite in DMs. Once you join, instructions there explain how to book a date and time for the interview. The interview happens in voice chat, where an interviewer asks a short set of questions. Results are only shared once every interview in the round is finished.
Phase 3: Trial Moderator period
Passing the interview gets you an invite to the Easy Games Moderation Server and the “Trial Moderator” role in both that server and the main Discord. The trial normally runs 8 to 12 weeks and can be extended if the team considers it useful. Anyone judged unfit for the role is demoted during this window.
Rules while your application is pending
Two actions automatically invalidate an application: sharing it with other members or privately messaging moderators to ask about its progress. Either action voids the application.
Information entered on the form stays private to the staff team and is not shared outside it.
How to tell if you have been accepted
Acceptance arrives as a direct message and/or a friend request on Discord. It will come from one of four accounts: @sxg, Lead Moderator @Potat, or Senior Moderators @callum or @! Lauren. If you have not been contacted by one of those accounts, your application has not moved to the interview phase.
Rejection is not permanent. Anyone denied in an earlier round can apply again, and the team explicitly invites previously denied applicants to reapply in later windows.
