Getting around Idyll faster comes down to one thing: bringing an Aniimo that carries a Mobility Skill. Three of them matter for exploring, and each one solves a different problem. Hustle lets you sprint across open fields, Hookshot pulls you up to high ledges, and Detection shows you items and Aniimo hidden behind terrain.

Quick answer: Twine with an Aniimo that has a Mobility Skill. Use Hustle (Emberpup, Helion, Lunara) to dash, Hookshot (Pawney) to climb, and Detection (Helmut, Rookey) to find hidden items and creatures.

How Mobility Skills work in your active Combat Party

Mobility Skills only fire when you twine with an Aniimo that is in your active Combat Party. Swap that Aniimo out, and the skill goes with it, so plan your party around the traversal you need before you head into an area.

These are separate from Exploration Skills like climbing, flying, and swimming. Those are assigned through an Exploration Party and keep working even while the Aniimo sits in your storage. Mobility Skills do not, which is the key difference to remember when you build a team.

You know a Mobility Skill is active because pressing its key produces the effect on the spot: a dash forward with Hustle, an aim-and-pull with Hookshot, or a changed view with Detection.

Hustle for long-distance travel: Emberpup, Helion, and Lunara

Hustle is the go-to Mobility Skill for wide, open ground. It spends your stamina to send you dashing forward at high speed, covering distance far quicker than running. If your exploration team only has room for one Mobility Skill, this is usually the one to bring.

AniimoWhere to get
EmberpupAvailable early at Nimbus Fields
HelionOne of the two starter Aniimo
LunaraOne of the two starter Aniimo

Emberpup shows up early in Nimbus Fields, while Helion and Lunara are the starters you receive at the very beginning. That means you can have Hustle from your first hours in the game, and Helion or Lunara double as reliable picks in combat and open-field movement.

Hookshot for climbing to high platforms: Pawney

Hookshot handles vertical exploration. Hold the skill key to aim, then release to pull yourself toward a targeted spot, which makes it the tool for reaching high ground and distant elevated platforms. It runs on a six-second cooldown, so it is not a replacement for Hustle when you just want to cross flat, open terrain.

Pawney and its variants are the only known Aniimo to have Hookshot. Obtain this ability by evolving a Helmut, or capture a Prismana Pawney when one appears in the Russet Highlands.

Detection for hidden items and Aniimo: Helmut and Rookey

Detection is less about moving and more about seeing. It shifts your view to reveal items and Aniimo tucked behind walls and terrain, which is a real time-saver when you are sweeping an area for chests and creatures you would otherwise walk right past.

AniimoWhere to get
HelmutCommon across the Russet Highlands
RookeyAlpha encounter in the Russet Highlands

Helmut are easy to find throughout the Russet Highlands, and a Rookey can turn up in the same region as an Alpha Aniimo. Picking up a Helmut here has a bonus, since it is also the evolution route into a Hookshot-capable Pawney.

Build your exploration party around what an area demands. Keep a Hustle Aniimo in the active slot for open stretches, swap to Pawney when you hit vertical routes, and bring a Detection carrier when you are hunting for everything a zone is hiding.
