What your Windows or Apple Silicon machine needs to run House House’s co-op walk-and-talk adventure.

Big Walk, the cooperative online adventure from House House and Panic, arrives on Steam and the Epic Games Store on August 4, 2026. The good news for anyone eyeing a launch-day session with friends is that the hardware bar sits fairly low, particularly on the graphics side. Here is exactly what your PC or Mac needs before you set out.

Quick answer: On Windows you need at least Windows 10 (64-bit), an Intel Core i7-7700K or Ryzen 5 1600X, 12 GB of RAM, and a GTX 750 Ti (2 GB) class GPU. On Mac you need macOS 15 and an Apple Silicon M1 chip or newer with 16 GB of RAM.

Big Walk Windows requirements

Both the minimum and recommended tiers require a 64-bit processor and operating system. The jump from minimum to recommended is mostly about the CPU and GPU, since the memory target barely moves.

Big Walk macOS requirements

Mac support is limited to Apple Silicon. Both tiers run on macOS 15 and ask for 16 GB of RAM, so the only real difference is the chip generation.

Can your PC run Big Walk?

For most players the answer is yes. The minimum GPU drops all the way to a GTX 750 Ti, a card that is more than a decade old, so many older gaming rigs will clear that hurdle without an upgrade.

The CPU side is where the requirement bites harder. A quad-core Core i7-7700K or a six-core Ryzen 5 1600X is the floor, which means much older processors may fall short even if the graphics card qualifies. The 12 GB memory minimum is also worth checking, since it sits between the usual 8 GB and 16 GB targets and could leave a 8 GB machine below spec.

Aim for the recommended tier if you want higher frame rates and cleaner visuals. A GTX 1070 or Radeon RX 5600 XT with 16 GB of RAM lands comfortably above the baseline for a smooth session with a full group.

On the Mac side, any Apple Silicon model from the M1 onward will start the game. The M3 or newer is the pick for the best performance.

Storage space

An official install size has not been published yet. Leave a modest amount of free space set aside for now, and confirm the exact figure on the Steam store page once it goes live at launch.

What Big Walk asks of your hardware and why

Big Walk is a co-op walk-and-talk built for groups of 2 to 12 players, with proximity voice chat that makes voices fade over distance, echo through corridors, muffle behind walls, and crackle over walkie-talkies. That audio system, along with the open world and crossplay across platforms, explains why the memory and CPU targets sit higher than the light visual style might suggest.

The game supports online co-op, cross-platform play, Steam achievements, Steam Cloud, and Family Sharing. If your machine meets the recommended specs on either Windows or Mac, you should be set to play start to finish with a group when Big Walk unlocks on August 4, 2026.
