Blood Zone: How to Get the Hex Spitter and The Experiment Badge

Press all five hidden Lab buttons, then break the canister within one minute to claim the weapon.

Press all five hidden Lab buttons, then break the canister within one minute to claim the weapon.

The Hex Spitter is a secret weapon in the Roblox shooter Blood Zone, and you unlock it by earning The Experiment badge. There is no purchase or code involved. You reach it by finding five colored buttons hidden inside the underground Lab and then racing to a sealed room before a timer runs out.

Quick answer: Spawn at location 27, drop into the Lab, and press the Green, Orange, Grey, Pink, and Blue buttons. Pressing Blue starts a 1-minute timer, so run to the Core Room, climb the ladder behind the console, enter the secret room, and shoot the glass canister to claim the Hex Spitter and The Experiment badge.

Before you start

Open the menu and set your spawn to location 27 using the Spawn Location option. This drops you right next to the excavation site that leads down into the Lab. Bring any equipped weapon, because you need to fire a single shot at the end to break the canister.

The order of the first four buttons is flexible, but Blue must be pressed last. Blue triggers the 1-minute countdown that opens the secret door, so you want the other four already done before you touch it.

How to confirm it worked

After the fifth button, the game shows “You found all the buttons! You have 1 minute before the secret door closes!” When you break the canister, you receive an on-screen badge notification confirming The Experiment award, and the Hex Spitter becomes available to equip and showcase.

Why the door might not open

The secret door in the Core Room only opens once all five buttons are pressed. If it stays closed, check the “Buttons remaining” prompt to see which color you missed and go back for it.

The most common failure is the timer. You have exactly one minute after pressing Blue to reach the secret room and break the canister. If the door closes first, press the Blue button again to restart the countdown and try the route once more.

Once you have the weapon, the Hex Spitter fires rapid lasers, matching its billing as a Hex-style laser blaster. Getting the sequence down and pressing Blue last is all it takes to keep the run clean.
