Cecelia is the Elite Pathfinder who guards the Cleaving Waves Badge at Tideblossom Coast in Aniimo. She fields the same four creatures every time, and every one of them is a Water type, which is the single fact that decides how you build for the fight.
Quick answer: Bring a Grass team led by Irisalis, keep moving to dodge the melee attackers, pull Sherro off its water puddles, and fire Florae Descent the moment an enemy’s Break gauge empties.

Cecelia’s team and weaknesses
Cecelia runs a fixed four-creature lineup that scales with the fight you pick. The Elite Pathfinder Challenge puts her team at level 55, while the Rematch raises it to level 65.
| Aniimo | Role | Type |
|---|---|---|
| DPS | Water | |
| Support | Water | |
| REGEN | Water | |
| Heal | Water |
Grass is super effective against all four of Cecelia’s creatures, which is why it is the cleanest pick. Lightning and Ice each hit three of the four for extra damage if you want to round out the squad with a secondary element.

Cecelia is on Tideblossom Coast, just south of the Tideblossom Coast Bloom. Beat her once to unlock the Elite Pathfinder challenge, then face her again for the badge challenge.

Recommended counter team
Build around Irisalis. Its kit gives you mobility and ranged pressure that Cecelia’s melee DPS cannot match, and it leans on the Grass advantage against every enemy on the field.
- Irisalis — your main damage, with range and clone pressure.
- Leafy — damage amplification that stacks well with Irisalis.
- Melloblum or Turbo — more amp; Turbo adds Break efficiency via Nimbi Burst and protection from Cloud Shield.
- Somniwing — steady EP recovery to keep skills flowing.
Pairing Irisalis with Leafy and either Melloblum or Turbo gives you heavy damage amplification that also feeds Irisalis’ Shadow clones. Somniwing sits behind them to refill EP so the rotation never stalls.
How to win the fight
Keep Irisalis moving against Sherro and Piopiota
Sherro and Piopiota are Cecelia’s melee attackers, and they hit hard together. Irisalis beats them by never standing still. Circle the arena while attacking and weaving in Whirling Blossom Rain, which both dashes you out of danger and fires homing bolts. You dodge their swings and chip steady damage at the same time.

Pull Sherro off its water puddles
Cecelia’s whole plan is to flood the floor with water for Sherro. When Sherro stands in a puddle, its Tidal Heart trait boosts its Water damage by 20%. Piopiota’s skills and Erlath’s Bubble trait keep refilling those puddles throughout the fight.

To shut that off, move well away from the puddles. Sherro is melee, so it chases you, and it drops the damage bonus the moment it leaves the water. Kite it onto dry ground and it becomes far easier to handle.
Fire Florae Descent on a Break
Watch the Break gauges. The moment any of Cecelia’s creatures drops to a critically low or empty Break gauge, cast Irisalis’ Florae Descent. The slam deals 240 power as area damage and drops an extra clone during the stagger window, which often strips a huge chunk of HP or deletes the target outright.

Contracting Irisalis’ exclusive Held Item makes Irisalis Shadow summon two clones instead of one. Combined with Florae Descent, that puts three clones on the field at once, and with your amp buffs and the Grass advantage layered on top, the burst during a Break is enormous.

You have cleared the encounter when the Battle Won banner appears after Cecelia’s last creature falls and the Obtained pop-up hands over your EXP and upgrade items. Beating the level-55 Challenge awards the badge and the Wavewalker title; the level-65 Rematch is available afterward if you want to test the fight at full strength.
