Borderlands 4: All Cutscenes in Story Pack 2 FL4K and the Last Resort

Every story cutscene in the Providence campaign, in order, from Tediore's landing to Mr. Chew's farewell.

Every story cutscene in the Providence campaign, in order, from Tediore’s landing to Mr. Chew’s farewell.

FL4K and the Last Resort is a short, tightly told campaign. Its cutscenes bookend the fighting on Providence rather than interrupting it, and the whole narrative runs from a Tediore corporate report to a quiet goodbye on a jungle platform. If you want the full story beats without hunting for them mission by mission, here is the complete sequence and what happens in each one.

Quick answer: Pick up “The Skag and the Robot” at the Bones of Sanctuary in the Heart of the Mountain (Terminus Range), then play Providence straight through. The cutscenes fire in this order: the Tediore landing, Lt. Harmony’s annexation report, FL4K’s broadcast, the rescue of Rafa, the ambush at Mr. Chew’s holding cell, Lieutenant Harmony’s boss introduction, the reunion, and the farewell.

How to reach the Story Pack 2 cutscenes

There are two entry points into the DLC. On an existing character, the starting mission “The Skag and the Robot” becomes available once you have cleared the fourth main story mission, “A Lot to Process.” You will find the quest marker and FL4K’s broadcast at the Bones of Sanctuary in the Heart of the Mountain, inside the Terminus Range.

The other route skips the base campaign entirely. From the New Game menu you can start a Vault Hunter at Level 13 and jump straight into the DLC, which is also how a freshly created Loveless gets there. Either way, once the quest is active you head into Sanctuary and use the Welcome Home door to travel to Providence Island.

You know it worked when the objective “Find the vault hunter” appears and the Weedchoked Canopy loads as your first area.

Cutscene 1 and 2: Tediore takes Providence

The campaign opens cold, with a Tediore ship descending through the canopy. Providence used to be a luxury retreat for the Timekeeper’s Electi, sitting between dense wilderness and an active volcano. Tediore is there for one reason: the island’s Ordonite.

Lieutenant Harmony then delivers “Kairos annexation report two.” The primary objective is done, most of the Ordonite is out of the ground, and the secondary objective is on schedule too. In her words, the locals have been cleared out and the land is being brought up “to Tediore quality standards.” She starts to introduce herself as Tediore Lieutenant Lindsay Harm— and gets cut off mid-name.

Cutscene 3: FL4K’s broadcast and ultimatum

The interruption is FL4K, who takes over the transmission to make a request. Tediore has taken one of their best friends, a skag who is frightened and helpless alone. The offer that follows is the DLC’s mission statement in three lines.

If he is alive, I require assistance rescuing him. If he is dead… I require assistance killing every living thing on that island.

The “FL4K AND THE LAST RESORT” title card lands immediately after, followed by your first gameplay stretch through the Weedchoked Canopy.

Cutscene 4: Rafa joins the hunt

Rafa, cornered by Tediore robots, is saved when FL4K steps in. His first words are a quick clarification of whose side he is on, delivered as “Tranquilo. I’m not Tediore anymore!” FL4K’s character card, “FL4K AS THE BEASTMASTER,” drops here.

The introduction that follows sets the tone for the pair. FL4K sizes up Rafa’s loadout with “Nice gear. Know how to use it?”, then catches themselves being blunt and notes that Moze had warned them about exactly that habit. The thank-you is sincere; not many people would risk their life for a skag. Rafa points out the building where Mr. Chew is being held and they move.

Cutscene 5: The ambush at Mr. Chew’s holding cell

With the “Rescue Mr. Chew” objective active, you talk to FL4K at a sealed door. It opens, Mr. Chew bounds out, and the game throws up a splash card reading “FL4K AND MR. CHEW INSEPARABLE!” It lasts about as long as you would expect a happy moment in Borderlands to last.

Blue digistruct energy wraps around FL4K and your Vault Hunter as a hologram of Lieutenant Harmony gives the order: “TARGET SECURE! GO GO GO!” FL4K is pulled into a containment pod, which an aerial transport lifts away toward the mountains. Your character rematerializes on the platform next to Mr. Chew while the ship shrinks into the distance.

Gameplay resumes with the objective “Confer with Mr. Chew.” Interacting with him makes the skag drop legendary loot, including Mr. Chew’s Feral Beast.

Cutscene 6: Lieutenant Harmony’s boss introduction

Harmony finally shows up in person, wearing her combat suit, and gets her own splash card: “LIEUTENANT HARMONY :: YOUR NUMBER ONE FAN!” The exchange around the fight is short and smug on both sides, with a flat “Nice work, you got me” and an equally flat “Oh, stop.” Reaching this point means clearing the Tediore rank and file, the mechs, and the five elite managers who answer to her.

Cutscenes 7 and 8: The reunion and Mr. Chew’s choice

With Harmony dealt with, FL4K returns and starts to ask where Mr. Chew is before spotting him. The skag is unharmed and surrounded by other Providence creatures. FL4K’s reaction is a single word, “New friends,” then “Interesting,” then a quiet thank you to the animals that kept him safe.

The goodbye is the point of the whole campaign. FL4K tells Mr. Chew it is time to go, that his brothers and sisters will be glad to have him back, and gets nothing. Mr. Chew does not want to leave. FL4K works through it out loud: “I thought you’d be helpless without me. Maybe I got it backwards.” Asked if they are all right, FL4K answers honestly that they do not know, but they know Mr. Chew is. FL4K leaves Providence without him.

Nothing in the sequence branches, so the order above is what every player gets, whether you run Providence on a maxed-out character or a fresh Level 13 Vault Hunter. The only thing that changes is how much of the island stands between you and Lieutenant Harmony.
