Borderlands 4 Codes (July 2026)

Borderlands 4 uses the SHiFT system to hand out free rewards without any grinding required. Punch in a working code and you can walk away with Golden Keys for the game’s loot chests or cosmetic skins for your Vault Hunter and ECHO-4 drone.

How to redeem Borderlands 4 codes

You can enter a code on the official SHiFT rewards page or directly inside Borderlands 4. Both methods send the reward to the same account, so use whichever is easier for you.

Redeem on the SHiFT website

Link the gaming platform you play Borderlands 4 on if you have not done so already.

Paste the code into the code redemption field and confirm. The reward is queued for delivery to your in-game account.

Redeem inside the game

Pause Borderlands 4 and open the SHiFT tab from the main menu.

Enter the code exactly as written, including dashes.

Confirm the redemption. You will know it worked when the reward shows up in your inventory or rewards section, either instantly or the next time you log in.

Claim a Discord quest code

Discord runs a recurring Borderlands 4 quest that hands out a one-time code tied only to your account. Nobody else can use the code it generates for you.

Open Discord, click Discover, then Quests, and find the Borderlands 4 Looter Quest.

Click Accept Quest, then pick Quest on Desktop or Quest on Console depending on where you play.

Launch Borderlands 4 and play for 15 minutes straight. Discord tracks your progress with a circular indicator on the app.

Once the 15 minutes are done, click Claim Reward. A pop-up displays your unique SHiFT code, which you then enter through the website or in-game SHiFT tab.

Where to spend Golden Keys

Golden Keys open Golden Chests, one of which sits in the main faction hub of each region. Opening a chest costs one key and mostly drops Epic gear, with a smaller chance at Legendary items.

The main story naturally routes you through all four hubs, so you will not need to go out of your way to reach any of the chests.
