The Firmament is the twelfth chapter of Beast of Reincarnation and the last stretch before the finale. Kagura has been overtaken by the blight, and Emma has to push through the City Center, the Administrator’s domain, to reach a medical pod before dealing with what waits deeper inside. The layout is linear, but the enemy density and the boss order make it one of the tougher chapters to clear cleanly.
Quick answer: Equip a lightning-infused weapon, find the medical pod past the Erymanth boar boss, then defeat two Elite Golems and the Kunai and Kirin Malefact pair to end the chapter. It is complete when Emma wakes in the Bauera and finds Kunai’s weapon with a farewell note against the wall.
Prepare before entering the City Center
Before you move past Violet and Bauera, set your loadout for a lightning theme. A lightning-infused weapon speeds up every major fight in the chapter, from the Golems to the final duel, so make it your main weapon and keep it equipped throughout.
The path is crowded with blighted creatures and Golems, including ranged units and Elites. Use stealth takedowns wherever an enemy hasn’t spotted you. Thinning the pack quietly keeps you from being surrounded in the narrow spaces ahead.

First boss: Erymanth
Just before the medical pods, a boar Malefact called the Erymanth blocks the way. The fight itself is straightforward, but it takes place in a narrow corridor arena, so dodging space is limited. Erymanth has two phases.

In the second phase the Nushi grows visibly larger and its tusks lengthen, which makes its charges harder to roll away from in the tight space. Keep close to the walls, watch its lunges, and punish after each swing. Once it falls, continue into the inner City Center. A short cutscene plays where Emma places Kagura inside the pod and moves on to face the Administrator.
Reach the Administrator and clear the boss gauntlet
Press deeper into the City Center until you reach the Administrator. From here the chapter becomes a run of back-to-back bosses with no rest between them, so manage your healing and FP carefully.

Second boss: two Elite Golems
After a brief exchange with the Administrator, he summons two Elite Golems at once. Fighting them together is dangerous because their combined pressure can overwhelm you quickly. Focus one target at a time. Kill the smaller Golem first, then turn your attention to the Giant Golem. Lightning damage cuts both down noticeably faster.
Final boss: Kunai and the Kirin Malefact
Once the Golems are down, the Administrator calls in Kunai and her companion, the Kirin Malefact. This is your second encounter with the pair, but this time there is no scripted loss. You have to win outright.

Kunai is a fast, versatile melee fighter who can end you in only a few hits, so treat her as the primary threat. The table below covers what each part of the pair does and how to respond.
| Threat | Behavior | How to respond |
|---|---|---|
| Kunai (melee) | Swift lightning-infused katana strikes | Stay reactive, parry or dodge her combos |
| Kirin Malefact (ranged) | Keeps distance and fires homing projectiles | Break line of sight and close in when safe |
| Empowered katana | Blade grows large with lightning-infused thorns for heavy damage | Parry the hit or dodge fully away from it |
| Close-range mixup | Kick-and-slash combo when you crowd her | Watch for it and time your evade |
Defeating Kunai triggers a cutscene where Emma passes out after absorbing the blight from the Kirin Malefact.
How to confirm the chapter is complete
You know The Firmament is finished when Emma wakes up inside the Bauera and finds Kunai’s weapon resting against the wall with a farewell note beside it. Picking that up closes Chapter 12 and sets up the final chapter, To Bloom, Then Fall.
