Devil V2 is the transformed version of the Devil race in Clover Origins, and it is not something you roll for. It sits behind a physical puzzle in World 3, the new region added alongside the rebuilt World 1 and World 2 maps. Five brown plates are hidden around the World 3 village and castle grounds, and every one of them has to be pressed before the arena gate opens.
Quick answer: Travel to World 3, activate all five brown plates (castle outer wall, underside of the stone bridge, the circular fountain, the back wall of a wooden village house, and the wall beside the gated archway on the village’s right side), then enter the unlocked gate to reach the Zagred boss arena.
What you need before starting the Devil V2 puzzle
The plates are spread across a wide area, and several sit on vertical surfaces rather than the ground, so movement matters more than raw power here. Broom flight makes the search far quicker, since two of the five require you to look under or behind structures rather than run past them.
Getting to World 3 itself runs through the world chain. The Traveller NPC at the World 1 port sends you to World 2, and World 3 continues from there. Clover Origins is an action RPG from Funzy Labs, and the release update rebuilt both earlier maps, so old landmark memories from previous versions will not line up cleanly.

| Plate | Where it sits |
|---|---|
| 1 | Outer stone wall by the main castle entrance |
| 2 | Underside of the stone bridge leaving the starting area |
| 3 | Side of the large circular stone fountain in the village |
| 4 | Back wall of a brown wooden village house |
| 5 | Stone wall beside the gated archway, right side of the village |
How to confirm the puzzle worked
Once the fifth plate is active, the gate to the Zagred boss arena in World 3 opens. That gate staying shut is the clearest sign one plate was missed, and the two most commonly skipped are the bridge underside and the house rear wall, because neither is visible from the normal walking route.
Note: press each plate individually rather than assuming proximity triggers it. Running past a plate does not count as activating it.
What Devil V2 gives you
Devil V2 changes both your appearance and your kit. The transformation adds black wings and a dark aura, and it comes with a red orb ability that deals area damage around you. On PC, that skill fires from the U or I keys.
The base Devil race is a prerequisite in the sense that Devil V2 builds on it, and Devil itself is a 1.5% roll from the race menu, granting +10% damage and +10% mana regeneration. The race screen lists every roll chance in the same place, so you can check what you currently have before committing to the World 3 trip.
| Race | Drop chance | Effects |
|---|---|---|
| Human | 47% | No effects |
| Dwarf | 28% | +10% HP, +5% HP regen, -10% damage taken |
| Devil | 1.5% | +10% damage, +10% mana regen |
| Witch | 1.5% | +10% cooldowns, +5% mana regen |
| Spirit | 0.1% | +15% magic damage, -5% cooldowns, +10% mana regen |
| Paladin | 0.1% | +5% HP regen, restores 7.5% missing HP every 25s, +5% damage taken |
Other World 3 landmarks worth noting on the way
The same village and castle area holds the Corrupted Chicken quest, a Blacksmith, bat mobs, the Bat Boss, and the Blue Crocodile. None of these are required for the plates, but you will pass most of them while sweeping the map, and the bats in particular cluster around the village houses where plate four hides.
Back in World 2, Yami is the True Dark Trainer for Dark V2, tucked directly behind a house near the waterfall. That is a separate unlock from the Devil puzzle, but it is on the same travel route if you are already crossing worlds.

Magic rolls that pair with the Devil race
Devil’s flat damage bonus applies regardless of which grimoire you carry, so the puzzle is worth doing on any build. If you are rolling at the Grimoire Tower afterwards, the rarest outcomes are Word Soul Magic and Unique Magic at 0.001% each, with Time Magic at 0.002% and Star Magic at 0.02%. Chrono and Reinforcement account for the bulk of rolls at 30.20% and 29.80%.

Time Magic V2 runs six skills, namely Twin Chrono Pursuit, Chrono Beatdown, Chrono Sanctuary: Eternal Anastars, Deja Vu, Paradox, and Aternus Sigilium. Word Soul Magic also has six, covering Hellish Spear, Hellish Rocks, Hellish Blade Storm, Dark Vacuum, Vacuum Wall, and Hellish Twin Vortex. The Legendary Empire Sword adds Imperial Fire, Imperial Water, Imperial Lightning, Imperial Regen, and Fusion Beam.

The plate hunt itself is a one-time unlock, so once the Zagred gate opens for you, the transformation stays available without repeating the search. If the gate refuses to move, retrace the two awkward spots first, since the bridge and the house rear are where most attempts stall.
