Control Resonant early access: who gets September 22
The early access window is a perk tied to the Digital Deluxe Edition, not a separate purchase. Pre-order that edition on PS5 and your game unlocks on September 22, a full two days before the standard September 24 launch.
The same Digital Deluxe Edition on Xbox Series X|S and PC does not include the early start. Buyers on those platforms wait until launch day regardless of which edition they own. The standard editions across all three platforms also unlock on September 24.
One practical consequence for PC and Xbox owners is spoiler exposure. Because Control Resonant is a single-player narrative game, the two-day gap mostly means watching out for story details circulating online before you can play.

Pricing is identical in the US across platforms, with the standard edition at $59.99 and the Digital Deluxe at $69.99. In the UK, the Digital Deluxe is actually cheaper on PS5 (£54.99) than on Xbox (£58.49). The contents also differ. The Occult outfit ships with PS5 versions, while the AWE Mission outfit is bundled into the Digital Deluxe on the other platforms.

How to verify you have the early access
The early access entitlement is attached to the PS5 Digital Deluxe Edition only. After pre-ordering, the product page itself states that the edition grants 48-hour early access starting September 22, 2026. That wording on the PlayStation Store confirms your purchase qualifies.
If the listing you are buying does not mention the September 22 start, you are not getting the head start. That applies to every Xbox and PC version, including their Digital Deluxe editions, and to all standard editions.
The Xbox Play Anywhere angle
