Control Resonant: How to Calibrate the Central Map Kit

The Central Map Kit is the FBC tower that reveals the entire Central zone map in Control Resonant. It sits offline until you calibrate its three scattered satellite dishes, so entering the area alone does not uncover anything. The tower itself sits on top of the orange shipping containers near the FBC Field Office.

Quick answer: Stand at the main tower, glide out to activate all three satellite dishes (their red lights turn green), then return to the tower console and interact with it to unlock the Central map.

Where the Central Map Kit tower sits

Head to the FBC Field Office in Central. The Map Kit marker appears on your map the moment you enter the region, and the tower is the tall structure covered in dishes standing on the stacked orange containers that act as makeshift offices. Approaching it shows the message Tower Offline: Calibration Required.

From the base of the tower, look out toward the northwest. All three dishes sit within a roughly 180-degree arc in front of you, so you can spot each one before you set off. Every dish flashes a red warning light while it is inactive.

Activate the three Central Map Kit dishes

Each dish is activated at close range with the interact prompt. Interacting with one turns its flashing red light to steady green and points the dish back toward the tower. Work through them in this order to keep the route simple.

Leap off the tower, steer northwest, and land on the nearby blue container. Interact with the first dish there to bring its light online.

Head south across the courtyard, past The Park signage, and climb onto the elevated orange container bridge. Activate the second dish at the top of that structure.

Glide northeast over the trees toward the blue container sitting beneath the floating yellow balloons. Interact with the third dish to complete the set.

If you lose track of one, look for the signal-style map icons rather than another large tower. The dishes are small pieces of FBC hardware, not full Pylons.

Reboot the tower and confirm the map unlocked

The return trip is the part players most often miss. Touching all three dishes does not reveal the map on its own. Go back to the central orange platform and interact with the main tower console to reboot it.

You know it worked when the tower powers on and the on-screen message reads Zone Map Unlocked, with an Open Map prompt. Calibration also awards +1 Undefined Reading and raises the zone’s resource level from 50/700 to 150/700.

Once the map is active, the entire Central layout appears, with its landmarks and secret icons. It costs no resources, and there is nothing to buy: Map Kits serve as exploration infrastructure, not upgrade items.

Clearing the Map Kit early is worth doing before you push deep into Central, since the zone regularly bends its streets and connects objectives through vertical routes. Having the whole area visible saves far more time than the short detour to the three dishes costs.
