The Rooftop Oasis is an environmental puzzle hidden on a wooden terrace in the Downtown Zone of Control Resonant. A character named Dylan wants to turn the deck into a quiet bird-watching spot, and the decorations he set up have been knocked loose onto the surrounding rooftops. Put every goose ornament and potted plant back on its marked spot, and you unlock a sketch titled “Rooftop Oasis” in the Archives.
Quick answer: Reach the terrace northwest of the Oldest House, collect each goose ornament and potted plant shown on your radar, set them on their outlined spots, then press F to Draw once Dylan says “That’s it.”
What you need before starting
Since the terrace is far above street level, use the rooftops to get up there. Reach makes the climb dependable: this grapple pulls Dylan to designated grapple points, covering vertical distance that jumps from the street can’t handle by themselves.
You pick up Reach by finishing The Subway Fault in the Evacuation Zone, which happens naturally as you work through the main story. Pairing a dash with a super-jump across the ducts and roof sections also works once you know the path. If the terrace looks impossible to reach, that usually means Reach is still ahead of you in the story.

Head to the northwest part of Downtown, just northwest of the Oldest House building. On the map you are looking at the stretch near the West Supply Route Station and Central Checkpoint. The deck rests on top of the building above the street.

Starting at street level, cross the ducts and building roofs to find the wooden patio, marked by a sofa for outdoor use, a bench, an umbrella, lattice fencing, and string lights.

Walk onto the deck to trigger Dylan’s dialogue. The prompt reads Birdwatcher’s paradise, and he comments that he could see himself as an old man sitting there watching or drawing the birds. That confirms the puzzle is active, and the missing pieces now appear as markers on your radar.
Collecting the goose ornaments and potted plants
Every piece sits within jumping distance of the terrace, so you never have to travel far. You carry one object at a time, and the prompt ! Not While Carrying means you cannot grapple or climb with something in your hands. Drop an object with F if you need to free up a jump, then come back for it.

Where each object goes on the deck
The deck shows white dotted outlines where each item belongs. The simple rule keeps it sorted:
- Goose ornaments go on the markers closest to the table, including the wooden coffee table and the floor beside the umbrella bench.
- Potted plants go on the markers around the outer deck, including beside the sofa and out on the planks.
- If an object doesn’t match its outline, pick it up and reposition it. You can adjust placements without penalty.
An object snaps into place once you stand close enough to its outline and release it. Work through them until no outlined spots remain empty.
Draw the scene to finish the puzzle
After all the ornaments and plants are correctly placed, Dylan says “That’s it,” and the prompt switches to Draw. Move near the terrace’s center, with the whole arrangement in view, and press F to Draw.
A short cutscene plays showing Dylan sketching the view into his notebook. Let it finish and the puzzle resolves on its own.
How to confirm the Rooftop Oasis unlock
After the cutscene, an on-screen notification reads +1 Undefined Reading along with Rooftop Oasis. The pencil sketch shows an older Dylan feeding birds on a bench.
To verify it stuck, open the menu with TAB, go to Archives, and look under the Zoe’s Mistape collectibles. Rooftop Oasis appears in that list alongside entries such as The Cat Picnic, Dream House, Halloween Party, and Robotics. Seeing it there confirms the puzzle is complete and the sketch is saved.
