2026 Lore Event
Next up is the annual Lore Event, back for its first week. Sonar Studios frames it around a creature called the Dark Abomination — an ancient amalgamation that has seeped through the Sun Door and now roams Sonaria, leaving ruin in its wake. Players purify its corrupt splinters and restore fragments of the past to earn event currency, complete quests, and unlock a new mystery species tied to the game’s evolving story. The developer notes these items and cosmetics are temporary and disappear once the event ends, while returning creatures and cosmetics from past years’ Lore Events are set to be obtainable again. Week one opens Friday, September 18 at 4:20 PM ET and runs through Friday, September 25, closing at 7:00 AM ET. It carries the largest interest of the current batch, with about 720,000 players planning to join.
LEGO Ninjago boss fight
The event that just wrapped was the third week of the game’s LEGO Ninjago crossover. Once the Arc Dragon of Life was fully restored, players moved through a portal to fight the Boss Elemental, and Sonar Studios released a unique playable creature alongside it. That week-long finale ran from Friday, September 4 through Friday, September 11, 2026, closing at 11:40 AM ET, and pulled in about 670,000 interested players before it ended.
