The Courtyard of Precision is an archery-only Abyss Restoration puzzle in Crimson Desert that tests your ability to tag and shoot diamond-shaped targets using Focus Shot. It sits deep inside The Path of Providence cluster, and completing it rewards you with the Lightning elemental skill. If you're stuck on the moving diamonds or the airborne ring targets, here's exactly how to clear every phase.
Quick answer: Use Focus Shot to mark and hit all yellow diamond faces on the ground (sets of 2, 3, then 4 moving counter-clockwise), ride the giant fan upward, shoot the six remaining diamonds inside two floating rings while gliding, then activate the Abyss Nexus to unlock Lightning.

How to reach the Courtyard of Precision
The Courtyard of Precision is accessed through a chain of connected Abyss areas. The full path runs Spire of Stars → Sanctorum of Insight → Secret Garden → Vault of Vengeance → Courtyard of Precision. Once you enter, you'll cross two sets of platforms separated by a teleporter. The Abyss Nexus sits directly ahead after the second platform set.

Requirements before you start
Focus Shot lets you aim with your bow, then mark multiple targets before releasing a volley that hits all of them simultaneously. Every diamond target in this puzzle must be struck on its flat yellow face to count. Hitting the outer edge does nothing, so precision matters more than speed.
Ground-level diamond targets (Phase 1)
Step 1: Face the Abyss Nexus. Directly in front of it, you'll see a cluster of five diamond shapes. Two of them glow yellow and move. Enter Focus Shot, mark both yellow diamonds on their flat faces, then release to hit them simultaneously.

Step 2: Rotate counter-clockwise around the arena to the next cluster. This group contains three yellow diamonds. Mark all three with Focus Shot and fire.
Step 3: Continue counter-clockwise one more time to the final ground cluster. Four yellow diamonds need to be tagged and shot in the same way.

Once all nine ground-level diamonds are activated, a massive fan in the center of the arena powers on. This fan generates an updraft you'll use for the next phase.
Airborne ring targets (Phase 2)
Two large rings float above the arena, each containing three more diamond targets. The intended approach is to step onto the fan, glide upward, and quickly mark the diamonds with Focus Shot while falling through or past the rings.
Upper ring: This one is tricky because the fan doesn't launch you very high. If you're struggling to mark all three diamonds while airborne, land on the edge of the ring itself — specifically, the side to the right of the diamonds. Stand there and wait for the diamonds to rotate until each yellow face becomes visible, then tag and shoot them from that perch.
Lower ring: This ring is significantly easier. The fan gives you plenty of altitude relative to its position, so you can comfortably mark all three diamonds during a single glide descent. Enter Focus Shot as you fall, tag each yellow face, and release before you drop past them.

Completing the puzzle and unlocking Lightning
After all six airborne diamonds are activated, the Abyss restoration button near the Nexus becomes interactable. Press it to restore the Abyss and finish the Courtyard of Precision. You'll immediately unlock the Lightning skill, which becomes available across all characters and can be paired with Imbue Element abilities for enhanced combat options.
You'll know the puzzle is fully complete when the restoration animation plays and Lightning appears in your skill list. If the button remains inactive, at least one diamond — most likely in the upper ring — hasn't registered a hit on its yellow face. Double-check by riding the fan again and looking for any unlit targets.

The Courtyard of Precision is one of roughly 40 Abyss Restoration puzzles scattered throughout Crimson Desert. Its archery focus makes it unique among the set, and the Lightning reward is one of the more impactful elemental unlocks you can earn from the Abyss system. Just make sure you bring enough arrows — there's nothing worse than running dry while dangling mid-air above a spinning ring.
