Titan, the Master of Thunder, sits at Windsong Peaks on the northeastern edge of Pailune, and he is the payoff for the Stjar Clan faction chain in Crimson Desert. He fights at Lv 100, he cannot be stunned for most of the encounter, and almost everything he throws at you carries lightning damage. The Fallen God quest ends when he falls and you pick up the artifact he leaves behind.
Quick answer: Survive the two humanoid stages with lightning resistance and a large shield, then in the Gigantified Titan stage climb his forearm guard while it rests on the ground, work your way onto his back, and hit the white circle there with Focused Force Palm to kill him in one strike.
How to unlock the Fallen God quest and reach Windsong Peaks
The path up the mountain is sealed until the story and faction requirements are met. Walking up early gets you struck by lightning, knocked out, and dumped back at the bottom of the trail, so there is no way to skip ahead.

Lightning resistance matters more than raw damage here. His attacks can inflict Shock, a damage-over-time effect that also stuns you, and a single stun during a lightning barrage is usually fatal. The peaks are also cold, so ice resistance keeps your stamina from draining faster than it regenerates.
| What to bring | Details |
|---|---|
| Shield | A Large Shield with a Fortitude III Abyss Gear. Blocking, not parrying, is how you get through this fight. |
| Armor | Lightning-resistant leather such as Blackwing Leather Armor or Hungering Fang Leather Armor. Plate works if you can stuff it with Shockward gears. |
| Lightning resistance | Shockward Abyss Gears. One Shockward III plus two Shockward II gives 7 lightning resistance, which beats a pair of combined Shockward III gears at 6. |
| Ice resistance | Aim for level 5 using Frostward gears so the cold does not eat your stamina. |
| Weapons | Sword and Large Shield with leather armor. The Longsword hits harder but needs good plate to survive. Skip the Spear, since Titan moves too much. |
| Abilities | Force Palm Level 3, Frost Mantle, Aerial Roll, Focused Aerial Roll, and Axiom Force’s Aerial Maneuver. |
| Consumables | Palmar Pills and stamina drinks. Honey Tea is a solid option mid-climb in the final stage. |
Note: Counter Stance is a trap in this encounter. It burns a huge amount of stamina against his attacks, and running out of stamina mid-barrage leaves you with nothing to block the follow-up.
Titan phases 1 and 2: block, walk, and punish the gaps
Titan opens with a blue health bar and no yellow stagger bar, which means you cannot stun him by hitting him or by using Force Palm. Parries are hard to land and do not interrupt him even when they connect. Keep the shield up, chip at him during his attack animations, and use Forward Slash at the end of a combo or in the pause between his moves.

Watch the ground constantly. Rings of sparks mark where lightning is about to land, so step out of them and keep blocking his kicks and jump attacks. When he spreads his arms and the arena dims, he is summoning a wide lightning barrage. Hold the block and walk out of the strike zones rather than sprinting, because you want stamina left over to absorb the hits you cannot avoid.
The second stage plays out the same way but faster and more aggressively. The one real change is his dim attack. He floats into the air, bolts chase your position, and when he touches down he fires a line of lightning along the ground. Keep moving with the shield raised, then break sideways off the line before it lands.

Frost Mantle is worth slotting if you are going shieldless, since it covers the sudden heavy hits that would otherwise take a third of your health. Once his bar empties, a cutscene plays and he grows into the Gigantified Titan.

Gigantified Titan: where to stand and what each attack does
The arena becomes a narrow ledge, and your position decides how much damage you take. Stay near the cliff edge and toward the left. The back of the platform is lined with spikes that regenerate, so backing up is worse than holding ground.

| Attack | How to handle it |
|---|---|
| Giant Smash | He raises an arm and drives it down for wide lightning damage. Wait for the downswing, then dodge on the swing rather than on the wind-up. |
| Forearm slam | The AoE spreads well past the arm itself. Hug the cliff edge on the left with your shield up to sit outside the blast. |
| Spear volley | He floats and pulls an arm back. Block the incoming volley, then immediately move off the impact zones. |
| Spear swing | Easier to block from the cliff edge than from the middle of the platform. |
| Red circle marker | His other hand is about to come down there. Leave the circle before it fills. |
Unlike the earlier stages, this form does have a yellow bar. Force Palm to his hand builds it and stuns him. His hand is also open after he punches or slams, and that is the only part worth hitting. Strikes on his bracers make contact but take nothing off his health.
The one-hit kill: climb to the orb on Titan’s back
Grinding his health down by slapping his hand works, but it takes a long time. There is a faster route that ends the fight with a single attack.

Fallen God rewards and how to close out the quest
After the death cutscene, the objective updates to “Obtain the artifact”. Loot the remains and pick up the Abyss Artifact that spawns in the arena, or the quest will sit unfinished even though the boss is dead.
| Reward | What it does |
|---|---|
| Lightning Bolt Plate Armor | Part of a set and the same armor Titan wears. 14 Defense, Level 2 Attack Speed, 7 Lightning Resistance. It cannot be refined and has no Abyss Gear slots. |
| Reckoning | A smaller version of Titan’s double-ended spear. Its Lightning God’s Affliction effect calls down a bolt on any enemy you parry. |
| Abyss Artifact | Spawns in the arena after the kill and must be collected manually. |
| Trace of the Thunder God | A consumable that raises your Pailune Contribution level by 8. |
The Trace of the Thunder God is not a drop from the body. Head back to Chief Eldan and share what happened at Windsong Peaks to finish the follow-up quest, Restored Balance, which is when the item is handed over.
Why the fight stalls or fails
- You hit his bracers rather than his hand during the giant phase, so his health bar does not move.
- You leaned on parries or Counter Stance, drained your stamina, and had nothing left to block the lightning that followed.
- You sprinted during the dim attack instead of walking, which spends the stamina you need for blocking the strikes.
- You fought from the back of the ledge and took damage from the regenerating spikes as well as his AoE.
- You tried to reach Windsong Peaks before finishing Ancient Barrier, which ends with a lightning strike and a trip back to the start of the trail.
Once the artifact is in your inventory and Restored Balance is handed in, the Stjar Clan chain wraps up and the Lightning Bolt Plate Armor and Reckoning are yours to use elsewhere in Pailune. The spear in particular changes how parrying feels, since every successful counter now comes with a bolt attached.
