Cyte-09 in Warframe Hotfix 43.5.2: What the Resupply Change Really Does

The Electric Ammo Pack stacking fix trims some inflated damage, but the core Resupply payoff is intact.

The Electric Ammo Pack stacking fix trims some inflated damage, but the core Resupply payoff is intact.

Cyte-09 players who lean on Resupply may notice their damage numbers landing lower than usual after Warframe hotfix 43.5.2. The giant multi-million and even billion-point hits that some builds produced have thinned out. The change behind that comes down to a single line in the patch, and it targets a bug rather than the frame’s intended power.

Quick answer: This is a bugfix, not a nerf. Hotfix 43.5.2 stopped the damage of multiple Electric Ammo Packs from Cyte-09’s Resupply stacking with each other. Direct Resupply reloads still apply the intended, Strength-scaled bonus; only the repeat-cast exploit and dropped ammo packs behave differently now.

What changed in Warframe hotfix 43.5.2

The hotfix, released on August 13, 2026, fixed the damage of multiple Electric Ammo Packs from Cyte-09’s Resupply stacking with one another. That wording is dense, so here is how it played out in practice.

Resupply can be cast to instantly reload your magazine whenever your clip is not full. If you fired off part of your ammo, cast Resupply to top the magazine back up, then repeated that cycle a few times, the Extra Damage stat from the ability kept climbing far past its intended value. High fire-rate weapons made this easy to trigger, and many Cyte-09 players had built the muscle memory to spam Resupply during reloads. That repeat-cast loop is what the hotfix shut down.

Direct Resupply versus dropped ammo packs

Resupply now correctly grants the extra damage for the added Elemental damage instance exactly as the tooltip states. That correct, Strength-scaled bonus applies only when Cyte-09 reloads straight from his own Resupply cast. The ammo packs that land on the ground behave differently after the hotfix.

Dropped ammo packs no longer receive any Ability Strength scaling at all. Anyone who picks one up, including squadmates, gets the base version of the bonus as if Ability Strength were sitting at 100 percent. Testing in the Simulacrum at 245 percent Ability Strength confirms the split. A magazine fed directly from a Resupply cast delivers the intended, boosted damage, while a dropped pack from that same cast only carries the standard +25 percent bonus.

There is one practical catch for Cyte-09 himself. If you walk over your own dropped ammo packs while reloading, you pick up the weaker, unscaled version instead of the full boost. To keep the intended damage, reload straight from the ability rather than stepping onto the loose packs.

Is it a nerf or not?

For players who did not exploit the stacking loop, the drop in damage is small. The change mainly removes the runaway numbers that came from casting Resupply over and over on a single magazine. Anyone who noticed those suspiciously high spikes and kept using them on purpose will feel a real reduction, since that combo no longer inflates the Extra Damage stat.

The squad-support side takes the clearest hit. Because teammates only ever pick up ground packs, they now receive the base bonus rather than one scaled by Cyte-09’s Ability Strength. That makes Cyte-09 a weaker buff-provider in a group than he was before the hotfix.

The unique extra damage instances remain, working much like Toxic Lash. That behavior is what underpins the popular Sobek Acid Shells setup for fast crowd-clearing, so the frame’s headline build still functions. Taken together, the honest reading is that this is a correction to an overpowered bug, not a deliberate cut to Cyte-09’s kit.
