Ranked play arrived in Deadlock on July 30, 2026 with Beta Season 1, and that changes which heroes are worth committing to. When rank points are on the line, small differences in win rate and reliability start to matter. The ranking below sorts every hero in the standard roster by how they are performing in the current meta, so you can pick with intent rather than habit.
Quick answer: Seven and Victor are the strongest picks right now, followed by Kelvin, Ivy, Drifter, and Lash. Mirage, Silver, The Doorman, and Viscous are the weakest.

The full breakdown shows why each hero lands where it does. A high win rate alone does not guarantee a top tier; steady presence in matches counts too, which is why widely picked heroes hold their spots even when their win rate dips.

Why the top picks stand out
Seven leads the entire roster with a 56.19% win rate while being picked in more than four out of every ten matches. That combination of high impact and heavy play is rare, and it is what pushes Seven above everyone else. Victor follows closely, winning over 55% of games with strong presence in the queue.
The S tier splits into two kinds of hero. Kelvin and Ivy win a lot but see moderate play, so they reward players who already know them. Drifter and Lash sit slightly lower on win rate but appear in half or more of all matches, making them safe, flexible picks that hold up across many team setups.
Note: Apollo is a useful example of why win rate alone does not decide a tier. At 51.80% it wins more often than several A-tier heroes, but its lower pick rate of 20.20% keeps it in B. Presence in the match pool weighs into the final placement.
Heroes to avoid in ranked
The D tier collects the roster’s weakest performers. Mirage is the clear low point at a 43.10% win rate, the only hero sitting under 44%. Silver, The Doorman, and Viscous all land in the mid-40s with limited play, so they demand extra effort to break even. If you are climbing and want the fewest handicaps, steer toward the S and A tiers instead.
Higher up the ladder, matchups swing games hard. At Eternus the sample of games is small, so win rates there move more sharply and a single strong player can distort a hero’s numbers. Treat the top-rank meta as more volatile than the tiers below it.
How this ranking was made
Tiers combine win rate and pick rate, with win rate carrying most of the weight. Heroes that win consistently and see steady play rise to the top, while those that struggle to reach a 50% win rate or barely get picked fall toward the bottom. This ordering reflects the standard game mode during Beta Season 1, which runs from July 30 to October 7, 2026.
One thing to keep in mind before you queue: ranked still requires you to bring at least three heroes, since single-hero selection is not available yet. Draft-style picking and role queue are not part of the current system either, so a flexible pool from the higher tiers gives you the best odds match to match.
