Every trait sorted S through D by damage, crit, range, cooldown, and cash value for your carries.

Traits are the modifiers you roll and apply to Anime Fighters in Defend Ur Base With Anime, and they decide how far a single unit scales into the late waves. A strong trait raises damage, crit, range, cooldown speed, or cash income, and the best ones stack several of those bonuses at once. The ranking below sorts every current trait by total combat value so you spend Trait Shards on keepers instead of fodder.

Quick answer: Corrupted (Secret) is the strongest trait in the game with a 500% damage boost plus range, crit chance, crit damage, cooldown reduction, and bonus cash. Celestial (Mythic) is the best trait you can realistically farm, with a 350% damage increase and supporting stats.

How traits change a unit’s value

Trait rarity scales from Common up to Secret, and higher rarity means larger and more numerous bonuses. The top traits combine raw damage with crit and cooldown reduction, so a single roll can move an ordinary DPS unit into carry territory. Lower-rarity traits give one small bonus and fall off fast.

Trait Shards are limited, so concentrate them on your main lane carry first. A high-damage trait on your best unit beats spreading weak traits across several fighters. Keep one economy or support unit with a cash trait running, then push everything else toward damage and crit.

Best trait to chase by goal

For all-purpose late-game carries, Corrupted and Celestial outscale everything else. When you want burst damage against bosses, Divine Eye and Void Emperor lean hardest into crit. King’s Fortune is the best blend of damage and income if you want a carry that also funds your run, while Golden Aura and Star Bloom suit a dedicated farming unit. Short-range fighters benefit most from Sixth Eye, and slow attackers gain the most from Quick Step III.

How to apply traits and confirm the upgrade

Build up Trait Shards through waves and progression before committing. Save them rather than spending on early Common traits that fall off quickly.
Apply your best available trait to your main DPS carry, ideally an Epic unit or higher so the bonus pays off across more waves. Spreading shards across weak units wastes them.
Check the unit’s stats after applying. A successful trait raises the listed damage, crit, range, cooldown, or cash values, and the trait name shows on the fighter. If the numbers do not move, the shards were not spent and the trait did not attach.

Trait rolls and stat values can shift when the game rebalances, so re-check your carry after major patches and reroll toward Corrupted or Celestial whenever you can afford it. Until then, a Mythic damage trait on a well-merged unit holds up through the toughest waves currently in the game.
