Delta Force’s 5v5 Detonation mode drops the game’s gunplay into a tight, round-based plant-and-defuse format. Two teams of five swap between attack and defense, buy their gear at the start of every round, and fight for control of a bomb site. The reveal centers on operator Saeed leading a strike on Haavk-controlled positions, and it lays out the win conditions, the economy, and the ranked structure that sit underneath the shooting.

Quick answer: Detonation is a permanent 5v5 mode where attackers plant a bomb or wipe the defenders, defenders defuse it or wipe the attackers, and the first team to nine round wins takes the match.

What the Saeed trailer reveals about Detonation

Saeed and an allied operator target Haavk industrial sites spread across the Um River area. The rules are simple: get the bomb planted and hold it to detonation, or clear the enemy team. The sites include warehouse interiors, outdoor facilities, and a luxury villa complex, where assault-rifle pushes mix with sniper picks from high ground.

Objective play sits at the center. An attacker opens and arms an electronic explosive briefcase at a marked site, while defenders work a handheld Haavk terminal to enter a verification code and defuse it before time runs out. Squads trade fire in courtyards, corridors, and around pool areas.

Gadgets play a major role: teams can use ballistic shields, capture nets charged with electricity, composite bows firing explosive, fire, or recon arrows, deployable smoke, and automated UAV drones capable of reviving a downed operator. These tools matter as much as gunfights when taking or defending a site.

Round structure and win conditions

Detonation runs as a permanent mode alongside Operations and Warfare. Before a match, you pick an operator and weapons, and operator abilities stay active during play. A match can run up to 16 rounds, each lasting 1 minute 55 seconds, and the first side to nine round wins closes it out, in both casual and competitive play.

DefendersPrevent the plant, eliminate all attackers, or defuse a planted bomb

Before a match you get four loadout choices. Three are presets such as Melee Assault, Ranged Position, and Balanced, and the fourth is a fully custom build made in the Gunsmith.

How the Alloy economy works

Alloy is the in-match currency you spend during the buy phase at the start of each round. You put it toward weapons, attachments, armor, and abilities. Winning a round lets you carry the same weapon into the next one, while losing drops you into the following round with the minimum Alloy needed to buy in.

Round 1800
Round 21,600
Round 32,600
Round 47,000

A custom build has to stay inside that round’s budget, so a Round 1 pistol setup cannot cost more than 800 Alloy, and the Gunsmith shows a remaining budget counter as attachment costs add up.

Weapon tiers unlock by round

Stronger guns open up as the match goes on, so nobody can dominate the early rounds with top-tier firepower. Even a fully custom weapon stays locked to the tier its round allows.

Progression, ranks, and badges

Detonation carries its own progression, separate from the rest of Delta Force. The Detonation profile climbs to Level 100, and you have to reach Level 3 before competitive play opens up, which keeps newcomers in casual matches long enough to learn the systems.

Once competitive mode is available, your rank shifts with your results and personal performance. The system has eight tiers, a separate leaderboard, and ranked-exclusive rewards such as name cards, avatars, rifle skins, and titles. You must finish five placement matches to enter ranked, and matchmaking relies on its own skill rating.

The eight ranks run from Bronze up to the top of the ladder:

  • Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum
  • Diamond, Fiery Owl, Legend, Crown Mark

Badges add optional goals on top of ranked climbing. They include Last Stand, Detonation Master, Quadra Kill, and Penta Kill, along with milestone challenges like wiping all five enemies in one round, planting the bomb 10 times, or defusing it 10 times.

The no-duplicate operator rule

One restriction has a real effect on team building: two players on the same team cannot run the same operator. As soon as one person locks in a character, teammates have to pick something else, so a squad cannot stack five copies of a strong operator. That pushes teams toward balanced compositions and makes pick coordination matter, especially in ranked matches.

Where Detonation sits among Delta Force modes

Delta Force already runs Operations, its extraction mode with loot and permanent-loss stakes, and Warfare, its large-scale objective combat with respawns and vehicles. Detonation is the third pillar: a compact, no-respawn, round-based format where the buy economy and site control decide matches. It goes live as Detonation (Beta) on September 27, 2026, three days after the 2nd Anniversary “Reorientation” update landed on September 24, and playing its daily missions earns Limited-Time Delta Tickets toward the 3,900-ticket event that runs from September 26 to October 25. Because it is a Beta, some values and mechanics may shift as it is tuned, but the plant-and-defuse loop, the Alloy economy, and the ranked structure are the framework it launches on.
