Badges in Demonology are achievements tied to specific in-game actions, from joining for the first time to identifying ghosts dozens of times. Most unlock on their own as you play jobs, but a handful only trigger when you use a particular cursed object or hit a repeat milestone.
Quick answer: Each badge unlocks the moment you meet its exact condition during a job. Play once for “You’re Hired!”, correctly identify ghosts to chain through the milestone badges, and use the matching cursed object (Umbra Board, Haunted Mirror, Music Box, Summoning Circle, Fortune Teller, or Magnifying Glass) for the equipment badges.
Every Demonology badge and how to unlock it
The badges below appear in the order you would normally encounter them. A badge unlocks instantly when its condition is met during a job, with the standard Roblox badge pop-up confirming the reward. The milestone badges count your total correct ghost identifications across sessions, so progress carries over.
| Badge | How to unlock |
|---|---|
![]() You’re Hired! | Join Demonology for the first time. This is the easiest badge in the game. |
![]() First Paycheck | Correctly identify a ghost for the first time. |
![]() Well, That Ain’t Good | Die to a ghost during a job. |
![]() Employee of the Month | Play Demonology again at least one month after your first session. |
![]() That Was Scary… | Survive your first ghost hunt. |
![]() Corporate Approval | Correctly identify the ghost 10 times. |
![]() Gold Star Sticker | Correctly identify the ghost 25 times. |
![]() Huge Bonus | Correctly identify the ghost 50 times. |
![]() Spiritualist | Communicate with a ghost using an Umbra Board. |
![]() Self Reflection | Use the Haunted Mirror to find the ghost room. |
![]() Virtuoso | Use the Music Box to locate the ghost. |
![]() Necromancer | Use the Summoning Circle to summon the ghost. |
![]() Clairvoyant | Spend a coin at the Fortune Teller and receive a fortune. |
![]() Detective | Use the Magnifying Glass to examine and locate the ghost (upcoming content). |
Note: The Detective badge is tied to upcoming content. The Magnifying Glass requirement comes from a feature teased by the developers, so the badge may not be live in your build yet and the unlock condition could change before release.

Six badges only unlock through specific cursed objects that appear on the jobsite. You do not need to bring anything from the shop for these, since the objects spawn in the world. Each badge triggers the first time you successfully use the matching object.
- Spiritualist – communicate with the ghost through the Umbra Board.
- Self Reflection – use the Haunted Mirror to find the ghost room.
- Virtuoso – play the Music Box to locate the ghost.
- Necromancer – light the candles around the Summoning Circle to summon the ghost.
- Clairvoyant – feed a coin to the Fortune Teller to have your fortune read.
- Detective – use the Magnifying Glass to examine and locate the ghost.
Easiest and hardest badges to earn
The first three badges take almost no effort. You’re Hired! pops the second you load into the game, First Paycheck comes with your first correct ghost call, and Well, That Ain’t Good simply requires dying to a ghost once. The death badge is easy to grab on purpose when you are not sure which ghost you are dealing with.

The tougher badges involve risk or grinding. Spiritualist is one of the hardest because the Umbra Board drains your energy every time you use it to talk to the ghost. If your energy is already low, using it can get you killed before the badge registers, so go in with a full bar. Huge Bonus is less risky but slower, since it asks for 50 correct ghost identifications. Playing with a team or with friends speeds up every identification milestone.
You will know a badge worked when the Roblox badge notification appears on screen and the badge shows as owned on the experience page. The milestone badges track cumulatively, so you can spread Corporate Approval, Gold Star Sticker, and Huge Bonus across many sessions rather than chasing them in one sitting.
