Depth Incremental puts its upgrades in separate rooms stacked down one long staircase. Each room uses its own currency and has its own caps, so progress comes from moving between them. Cash Upgrades sit at Depth 20m, Dirt Fossils at 30m and the Worm Burrow at 50m. The Upgrade Tree is behind a paid door at 70m, and Titles is behind another one at 90m. The Boss door is further down.

Quick answer: Cycle the 20m, 30m and 50m boards until you have 2.20M Cash. Open the Upgrade Tree at Step 70, then save 43M Cash for the Titles door at Step 90.

Depth Incremental upgrade rooms by depth

Every room has a header over its entrance and a depth readout on screen. Use the depth readout to find your place on the staircase. The three upper rooms are open as you pass them. The two deeper rooms each have a door signboard that lists a step requirement and a Cash price.

Every board has a Buy button and a Max button. Buy purchases a single level. Max spends as much as you can afford on that upgrade in one press. Each line shows the current value, the value after the next level, and the price, so a line like “x24 > x25 / 110K Cash” tells you exactly what you’re paying for.

Upgrade route from Cash Upgrades to the Titles room

No single board takes you all the way. Each one gets more expensive as you level it, and the cheapest next purchase moves from room to room. The route below runs one full loop, then repeats until the deeper doors open.

Start at the CASH UPGRADES board at Depth 20m and buy Faster Cash and More Cash. These raise how often Cash arrives and how much each payout is worth. Every other room depends on Cash, so this board comes first.

Take the stone stairs down from 20m to the DIRT FOSSILS room at 30m. Dig on the glowing yellow patch, then spend Cash on the Fossil Upgrades board. Fossil Luck is cheap at first, so it is usually the first thing you can afford here.

Continue down from 30m to the WORM BURROW at 50m. Collect the worms and any spawned Cash on the floor, then spend worms on Worm Value, Faster Worms and Cash Boost. Cash Boost multiplies your Cash income, which pays for the next trip back up.

Repeat the 20m, 30m and 50m loop until you have 2.20M Cash. Then take the stairs below the Worm Burrow to the UPGRADE TREE door at Depth 69m. The sign reads “Step 70 required” until you reach that step. After that it changes to “Step 70 reached” and shows a Buy button for 2.20M Cash.

Buy the door, step onto the Upgrade Tree pads you can afford, and climb back up to keep farming. Each pad you buy shows “Owned,” which confirms the purchase. The more expensive pads need several more loops before you can afford them.

Climbing back up from 70m takes you past 60m and 52m before you reach the Worm Burrow. Other players use the same staircase, so expect to share it.

Keep cycling until you have 43M Cash, then go down past 70m to the TITLES door at Depth 89m. As with the first door, it shows “Step 90 required” until you reach the step. After that it shows “Step 90 reached” and a Buy button for 43M Cash.
Enter the Titles room at Depth 90m, roll for titles on the circular purple pad, and buy Title Luck and Roll Speed on the Title Upgrades board. The staircase continues past the room to a doorway marked BOSS, which is the next step down the pit.

Cash Upgrades board costs (Depth 20m)

The Cash Upgrades board has three lines. Walk Speed caps out early, at level 5/5 with a speed of 21. Faster Cash shortens the time between Cash payouts and maxes at level 16/16. More Cash raises your Cash multiplier and goes up to level 99, which makes it the board’s long-term upgrade.

More Cashx30 > x31860K Cash
More Cashx31 > x321.20M Cash
More Cashx33 > x342.40M Cash

Faster Cash roughly doubles in price with each of its last four levels. When the line reads 0.2s / MAXED, it’s done. More Cash grows in price far more slowly, so after Faster Cash is maxed, More Cash is where spare Cash goes on every visit to this board.

Dirt Fossils digging and Fossil Upgrades (Depth 30m)

Digging is automatic once you stand on the glowing yellow patch. The game equips a red shovel and digs on a timer. Each dig costs 250 Cash. Every fossil you find adds a permanent bonus to your account’s Cash and luck multipliers. The room’s list counts your total digs (“171 Dug” and climbing past “1.14K Dug”) and tracks how many of each fossil you have against that fossil’s limit.

The four common fossils fill up quickly. Most of your fossil progress in the Dirt layer comes from Fish Bone and Ammonite, and the rarer fossils further down the list depend on luck. That’s what the Fossil Upgrades board is for.

More Fossils sets how many fossils each dig pulls up. It caps at level 9/9 and shows “+10 / MAXED.” Faster Digs caps at level 10/10 with a 0.5s dig. Fossil Luck has 20 levels and costs the least per level of the three, so it makes sense to buy a level on every visit. Fossil Luck at 14/20 (x2.5) is enough to keep moving through the Dirt layer.

The 30m passage is a short walk from both stairways, so a quick dig-and-buy stop on the way between 20m and 50m takes very little time.

Worm Burrow upgrades and golden worms (Depth 50m)

Worms spawn on their own inside the pink-bordered area of the Worm Burrow until they hit a cap. You walk over them to collect them. The cap starts at 14, and the Max Worms I tree pad raises it to 17. The Worm Burrow board shows the current count (for example “Worms: 14/17”) and how much each worm is worth.

Some worms spawn golden. A golden worm is worth x10 a normal one. The base golden chance is 12%, and the Golden Worms tree pad raises it to 15%. The value per worm on the board rises as you level Worm Value, from +5 per worm early on to +20 per worm after the tree’s x2 Worm Value pad.

Faster Worms is the only worm upgrade with a short cap. It maxes at level 12/12, where worms spawn every 0.3s, and the final level costs 1.80K worms. Worm Value and Cash Boost both run to 30 levels. Worm Value increases how many worms each pickup gives you, and Cash Boost turns your worms into extra Cash income.

The burrow’s doorway opens directly onto the main staircase. Coming back to collect worms is a short detour whether you’re coming down from 30m or climbing up from the tree.

Upgrade Tree pads and costs (Depth 70m)

The Upgrade Tree is a room full of green pads connected by lines of light. To buy a node, step onto its pad. When the pad turns to “Owned,” the bonus is permanent. Unlike the upper boards, these nodes boost several systems at once: Cash, worms, fossils and pickup range.

The two More Cash pads and the two worm pads can all be bought on your first visit after the 2.20M door. Pickup Range and More Fossils I come next. Golden Worms is the most expensive pad that doesn’t need a rebirth, at 25.0M Cash. That’s more than half the cost of the Titles door, so decide in advance whether to buy it before or after opening Titles.

Some pads in the tree show “LOCKED / Requires Rebirth 1.” No amount of Cash opens them in your current run.

Title rolls and Title Upgrades (Depth 90m)

Stand on the purple “Roll for a title” pad to open the ROLL A TITLE panel. Each roll costs 1.00M Cash. The panel also has an Auto toggle, which starts set to Off, and shows your current Title Luck multiplier. Each roll gives you a random title, and duplicates go into your inventory.

The Title Upgrades board, also in the room, has two Cash upgrades. Title Luck improves your chances of rolling higher-tier titles and has 20 levels. Roll Speed shortens the wait between rolls and has 8 levels.

Both lines get expensive fast. Roll Speed’s third level costs 32.0M Cash, which is about 32 rolls’ worth. The first two Title Luck levels are cheap compared with that, and you can confirm each purchase by watching the Title Luck multiplier rise on the roll panel. Once your title collection is under way, the stairs below the room lead on to the BOSS doorway.
