Detective Duck The Bakery Walkthrough (Case #0012 Bakery Heist)

Every clue location, both codes, and the suspect to vote for in the vanilla flour theft case.

Every clue location, both codes, and the suspect to vote for in the vanilla flour theft case.

The Bakery map in Detective Duck hands you a locked shopfront, a stolen batch of extremely valuable vanilla flour powder, and eight names on a suspect board. Case #0012 – The Bakery Heist asks for seven pieces of evidence before the game lets you close it out, and most of those pieces sit behind a chain of keys that starts with a coin from a man on a bench.

Quick answer: Collect all seven evidence pieces, enter the delivery code 365 on the board inside the bakery, then end the investigation and vote for Arthur (The Postal Worker).

Codes and key items in The Bakery

Two numbers matter on this map, and neither one is randomized. Everything else is a physical item you carry from one locked door to the next.

Working the street: tire marks, the coin, and the manhole

Start at the police car and open the detective board. It lists Case #0012 – The Bakery Heist along with the suspect slots you need to fill in as you go.
Walk out to the road in front of the bakery and collect the tire marks. That is your first of seven evidence pieces.

The tire marks in the street are the first evidence pickup on the map.
Equip the magnifying glass and inspect the bakery door. A fingerprint shows up on the handle area.
Take the print back to the police car and run the analysis there. Every fingerprint on this map has to be processed at the car before it counts.
Talk to Grandpa sitting on the bench. He gives you background on the neighborhood and hands over a golden coin.
Read the poster on the wall to pick up the city assistance number, 12375.

The poster in the clues view spells out the assistance number you dial at the booth.
Drop the golden coin into the phone booth and dial 12375. Tommy the delivery driver arrives shortly after with a package.
Open the package to get the manhole keys, then use them on the manhole near the police car and pull out the bakery keys.

Inside the bakery: donut trade, garage, and storage room

Unlock the bakery with the keys and grab the vanilla powder spilled on the floor. Pick up the donut on your way through as well.

The first vanilla powder trail and the donut are both inside the bakery’s main room.
Hand the donut to Greg, the angry customer waiting outside. He calms down and gives you the garage key.
Unlock the garage and take the lockpick from inside.

The garage holds the lockpick you need for the bakery’s storage room door.
Go back into the bakery and use the lockpick on the storage room door.
Sweep the storage room properly. There is a second vanilla powder trail to collect, a poster that fills in suspect information, and a fingerprint on the freezer that only appears with the magnifying glass equipped.
Take the expandable ladder from the storage room, then return to the police car and analyze the freezer fingerprint.

Room 4 and the delivery code 365

Place the expandable ladder outside the bakery and climb up to the window above it. The window is the only way into the room on that floor.
Expandable ladder set up against the bakery wall leading to an upper window
The expandable ladder from storage reaches the upper window where the apartment keys are.
Inside that room, pick up both the building entrance key and the Room Four key.
Head to the residential building, unlock the entrance, and then unlock Room 4. Read everything inside to fill out the remaining suspect entries.
Lift the pillow on the bed and shine the UV light on the paper underneath. It reveals the delivery code, 365.
Return to the bakery and punch 365 into the delivery board. This is the last action needed before the case can be closed.

Who stole the vanilla flour: vote Arthur (The Postal Worker)

The board lists Elias Doom, Tommy (The Delivery Driver), Gary (The Ski-Mask Guy), Greg (The Angry Customer), Beatrice (Rival Baker), Sam (Baker’s Co-Worker), Marcus (Room 4 Resident), and Arthur (The Postal Worker). Room 4 is deliberately loaded to point at Marcus, and that is the trap. The delivery code hidden under his pillow, combined with the fingerprint results and the trail of vanilla powder, shows the resident was set up rather than responsible.

Arthur is the correct answer. Open the case file, choose END INVESTIGATION, then use VOTE SUSPECT in the interrogation room and select Arthur (The Postal Worker).

How to confirm the case is solved

A correct vote plays a cutscene and then hands you over to the BLOXIA COURT OF LAW verdict screen, which lists the charges filed against the culprit. For this case they are grand larceny, commercial burglary, and coercion. Once that screen appears, the options shift to REPLAY and RETURN TO LOBBY.

If the End Investigation option is greyed out or missing, the cause is almost always the same thing. You are short of the seven evidence pieces, a fingerprint is still sitting in your inventory unanalyzed at the police car, or the 365 code has not been entered on the delivery board yet. Working backwards through those three checks clears it every time.

Note: the storage room is the easiest spot to under-search. Its poster and the freezer fingerprint are both counted, and neither is picked up by walking through the room with your tools stowed.

Played in order, the whole map is a dependency chain rather than a puzzle box. The coin buys the phone call, the call buys the manhole keys, and each door after that hands you the tool for the next one. Slow down only for the two moments the game hides things behind tools, the magnifying glass on the freezer and the UV light under the Room 4 pillow, and the vote at the end is straightforward.
