Dig & Clean Update 1.0 Patch Notes: Sphinx Sands and Omega Rarity

Everything added in the first major Dig & Clean update, from the new island to the second base floor and the Update1 code.

Everything added in the first major Dig & Clean update, from the new island to the second base floor and the Update1 code.

The first major update for Dig & Clean brings a new island, a new top-tier rarity, fresh gear, and room to grow your base. It centers on Sphinx Sands, a treasure spot that hands every collector a 4x Luck boost, along with an Omega rarity tier and a second floor you can build onto your plot.

Quick answer: Update 1.0 adds the Sphinx Sands island (unlocks for 2,500,000 Gold), the Omega rarity, new gear, a second plot floor with eight new pedestals, and a favorite-items feature. Redeem the code Update1 in-game for free rewards.

The changelog groups the update into new content, one new feature, and general polish. Here is the full breakdown.

The gear drop includes five new RARE items, which sit alongside the new Omega tier as the update’s headline collectibles.

Sphinx Sands: cost, Luck boost, and Gear Shop

Sphinx Sands is the reason to log in for this update. It gives every collector a 4x Luck boost, which makes it the best place to dig up rare, high-value items once you own the strongest shovels, sprays, and detectors. The island also hosts a Gear Shop that stocks the best detectors, sprays, and shovels in the game.

Unlocking the island costs 2,500,000 Gold. Gold comes from NPC visitors who arrive at your base to view your collection, and you can top up faster by selling spare items at the Sell Shop. If you are choosing where to spend first, prioritize Sphinx Sands over Shipwreck Cove, since Sphinx Sands offers the higher Luck boost and carries the new Gear Shop.

How to travel to Sphinx Sands

Find the pirate NPC. On every island he stands next to a boat with the word “Islands” above his head.
Press the E key to talk to him, then pick either “I want to travel” or “Where does this take me?”
Choose Sphinx Sands in the next dialogue to sail over. Once the 2,500,000 Gold cost is paid, the island stays available from the same menu.

Second plot floor and the 8 new pedestals

Update 1.0 lets you expand upward. Unlocking the second floor of your base costs 750M Gold. That purchase gives you the floor itself, but it does not hand you the pedestals automatically.

Each of the eight new pedestals has to be bought separately. The first one on the new floor costs 2 billion Gold, so plan your income around visitor payouts and item sales before committing to the full set.

How to redeem the Update1 code

The update ships with one code, Update1, which grants free rewards. Enter it inside Dig & Clean on the code screen to claim it. You know it worked when the reward is added to your account and the code no longer accepts a second entry.

Update 1.0 and the Admin Abuse event window

Update 1.0 went live on August 9, 2026, at 6:00 PM UTC, launched together with an Admin Abuse event. The event runs from Sunday, August 9 at 6:00 PM through Sunday, August 16 at 6:00 PM, so the limited-time activity remains open through that closing time.

All three islands after Update 1.0

With Sphinx Sands added, the game now has three destinations reachable through the pirate NPC.

IslandRole
Starter IslandHome base where you display items for visitors
Shipwreck CoveMid-tier dig location with a lower Luck boost
Sphinx SandsNew island with a 4x Luck boost and the Gear Shop

Between the higher Luck multiplier, the Omega rarity, the fresh gear, and the extra floor, the update’s momentum sits with Sphinx Sands. Bank enough Gold to unlock it, grab the strongest tools from its Gear Shop, and redeem Update1 before you start filling those new pedestals.
