Dino Hunters Events Schedule: New World Countdown and What’s Next

Updated August 19, 2026 By AllThingsHow Staff 5,600 playing now

Dino Hunters is running its events on a tight weekly cadence right now, and the New World update is the current headliner. Built around a new map and a fresh batch of dinosaurs to hunt and collect, it has drawn more than about 120,000 interested players — by a wide margin the biggest turnout on the game’s calendar.

That weekly headliner sits on top of a longer content window. The Mega Evo Update, which opened at the end of July and runs into early September, stays live the whole time and adds a new area and a new evolution. New World runs through midnight ET on August 21, with the Season Stage Update lined up to take over that same morning. Around about 5,600 players are in the experience as this plays out.

This page covers Dino Hunters’ live and upcoming in-game events, and we update it as the schedule changes. Exact start and end times for every event are shown in the schedule below. Last updated August 20.

Current and upcoming events

New World — New Map & New Dinos (live)

The New World update is the game’s live headliner, adding a new map and a set of new dinosaurs to catch and collect. It went live on August 14 and runs through midnight ET on August 21 (04:00 UTC), leaving less than a day left on the clock. With more than about 120,000 players marking interest, it is comfortably the most-anticipated item on the schedule — a sign of how much a new-map drop pulls in this game.

Mega Evo Update — New Area & New Evo (live)

Running underneath the weekly headliners is the Mega Evo Update, a longer content window that opened on July 31 and stays live through midnight ET on September 4 (04:00 UTC). It adds a new area to explore and a new evolution for your dino team. Interest sits at around about 28,000 players — a fraction of New World’s turnout, but this one has the longest run on the board and spans several of the shorter weekly events.

Season Stage Update — New Equipment & Stage 2 (upcoming)

Up next is the Season Stage Update, which brings new equipment and a second stage. It is scheduled to begin the morning of August 21 ET — about nine hours after New World closes — and run for a week, ending at midnight ET on August 28. Interest is still building at around about 22,000 players, which is normal for an event that has not started yet.

The pattern here is a steady weekly rhythm: the More Mega Evo Dinosaurs drop ran August 7 to 14, New World took over August 14 to 21, and the Season Stage Update follows August 21 to 28 — each a roughly seven-day window handing straight off to the next. The longer Mega Evo Update runs across all of them, so there is always a headline event live.
