The Vagabond storyline is the main questline in Dokkodo, the Roblox samurai game, carrying you from the streets of Kyoto out to Nara and ending with the completion of Chapter 1. It runs as a sequence of named quests, each with a clear objective and a character or location it points you toward. Below is a quest-by-quest walkthrough so you always know where to head next.
Vagabond: The Main Storyline
Vagabond is the overarching storyline that ties the early quests together. It carries no standalone description of its own; instead it unfolds entirely through the individual quests detailed here. Clearing them in order takes you from your first arrival in Kyoto all the way through to the close of Chapter 1.

Kyoto Quests
The opening leg of the Vagabond path plays out in Kyoto, where you make your first contacts and earn your first test of skill before the trail leads onward toward Nara.
Streets of Kyoto
Go to the main area of Kyoto and meet Yoshioka Seijuro for the first time. Once that introduction is made, find a Teahouse and stop in for a cup of tea. This quest establishes your footing in the city and the people you will be dealing with.
Prove Your Worth
When you’re ready, head to the Yoshioka Dojo. Storm the dojo and prove yourself inside. This is the quest where you back up your arrival in Kyoto with action.
The Storm Clears
After the confrontation at the dojo, return to Takuan Soho at the inn. This step settles the dust on the Kyoto chapter and turns your attention toward the road ahead.
The Journey to Nara
With Kyoto behind you, the storyline turns toward Nara and the search for the spear, leading you through a temple and into the forest beyond it before Chapter 1 comes to a close.
The Roads to Nara
Head towards the Gate to Nara. This quest moves you out of Kyoto and onto the path that the rest of the chapter follows.
Search of the Spear
Once in Nara, look into the monk known as Hozoin In’ei. This quest sets you on the trail of the spear and the man tied to it.
The Old Monk
Speak with Hozoin In’ei outside. This brings you face to face with the monk you have been seeking.
The Temple Awaits
Find Kofukuji Temple, then confront a student there. The temple becomes the focal point for the next several steps of the storyline.
Not Yet Ready
Return after meditating under the waterfall. Both the quest’s name and its objective make clear that you must prepare yourself before you are ready to press on.
The Second Spear
Head to the forest behind Kofukuji Temple. This step draws you beyond the temple grounds for the next encounter.
The Master’s word
Talk with Hozoin In’ei sitting at the campfire after defeating Inshun. Completing this quest marks the completion of Chapter 1, closing out the first arc of the Vagabond storyline.
Cleared in order, these quests take you from your first meeting in Kyoto to the campfire conversation with Hozoin In’ei, with Nara’s temple and the forest behind it forming the heart of the journey. Defeating Inshun and then speaking with him at the campfire is what closes out Chapter 1.
