The Way of the Weapon is how you grow as a fighter in Dokkodo, the Roblox samurai game. Each weapon type carries its own set of stances, and every stance is learned at a dedicated dojo or training ground in exchange for money and combat experience. There are four weapon paths: katana, spear, polearm and greatsword.
Every stance requires money and combat experience to fully grasp and learn. There is a skill tree in the stance you wish to learn, and some of a stance’s passives are locked behind other passives in that same stance.
Weapon paths and where to learn them
Each weapon path is tied to its own dojo or training ground, which is where you spend Mon and combat experience to learn its stances. The polearm and greatsword paths each have one stance for now, with more set to be added soon.
| Weapon | Stances | Where to learn |
|---|---|---|
| Katana | 7 | Yoshioka Dojo |
| Spear | 3 | Hozoin Dojo |
| Polearm | 1 (more soon) | Sohei Training Grounds |
| Greatsword | 1 (more soon) | Kobutaiken Training Grounds |

Mon and training experience
Learning a stance costs two things: Mon, the in-game money, and combat experience earned through training. Both are gathered from the activities below, and training experience comes specifically from sparring students at the dojo or training ground tied to your weapon.
| Resource | How you get it |
|---|---|
| Mon | Storylines and quests, killing ronins, selling components, bounties, etc. |
| Training experience | Sparring students at the dojo or training ground that teaches your weapon |
Choose the weapon that suits how you want to fight, then return to its dojo to spar, earn Mon, and work through the stance’s skill tree one passive at a time. With more polearm and greatsword stances planned, those paths will keep expanding beyond their current single stance.
