East End Riddler Puzzles in Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight

The East End district on North Island holds three Riddler Puzzles tucked into the streets and rooftops of Amusement Mile. Each one locks a cube inside a cage that drops only when you complete a specific environmental sequence, and two of them require characters you unlock partway through the campaign.

East End Riddler Puzzles overview

All three puzzles sit inside the Amusement Mile area on North Island. The map sometimes shows a higher Riddler count than what is visible at street level because additional puzzle rooms unlock later in the story, but the three open-world cubes below are what the district contains.

Dr. Crane Will See You Now (320, 908)

This is the most involved of the three, built around a construction crane suspended over the street. You need both Batgirl and Robin in your active party before approaching, since the puzzle alternates between their gadgets.

Switch to Robin and slot his weapon into the crane’s mechanism. The crane lowers and drops the energy source onto the road.

Drop down to ground level. As Robin, use his hook to draw a wire between the energy source and the open compartment nearby. The cage holding the cube descends.

Use Robin’s weapon on the crane again to lower it, then attach the cage and raise it back up to the upper platform.

Back as Batgirl, hack the crane and rotate it until the cage hangs directly over the square pressure plate.

Swap once more to Robin and trigger the crane release. The cage drops onto the plate, and the cube becomes collectable.

Ramp-ifications (350, 957)

Located in the junkyard directly in front of the GCPD East End precinct. The puzzle revolves around a broken ramp that is missing one of its wheels, which sits buried in nearby debris.

Find the blue open dumpster near the junkyard entrance. The missing wheel is wedged among the rocks and rubble inside. Pick it up and carry it back to the ramp mechanism.

Insert the wheel into the device next to the ramp and rotate it until the surface is level. A crooked ramp will not launch the vehicle properly.

Call in a vehicle. Smaller, lighter options like Robin’s Robincycle or Catwoman’s motorcycle handle the jump more cleanly than a heavy Batmobile.

Line the vehicle up with the ramp and hit the boost button (Square on PlayStation, X on Xbox) just before takeoff. You need enough air to clear the gap onto the upper platform.

Park the vehicle on the pressure plate at the top. Holding the plate down lowers the cage so you can grab the Riddler cube. Completing the puzzle awards 500 silver studs and the Riddler Puzzle Box.

Aqua-Batman (496, 833)

The water-flow puzzle. You will need Jim Gordon in your party because his gadget is the only one that interacts with the pipe valves in this section.

Switch to Jim Gordon and approach the wheel on the left side of the puzzle. Turn it on to start the flow, then immediately seal the first leak that appears so pressure builds up.

Redirect the water toward the first switch. When the wire connected to that switch lights up, block that leak as well, so the flow diverts down the next pipe.

Repeat the sealing process for each subsequent leak. The water has to reach four switches in total, and each one needs to be powered before the cage will release.

Once all four wires are lit, the cage opens. Walk over and grab the cube to clear the puzzle.

Character and gadget requirements

Two of these puzzles are gated behind story progress because they need characters that join Batman later in the campaign. Attempting them before you reach those points will leave you stuck at the first interaction.

If a puzzle does not respond to any interaction, the most common reason is that the required character has not been added to your roster yet. Return after the relevant story mission, and the gadget prompts will appear automatically.

Clearing all three East End Riddler Puzzles contributes to the district’s 60-item completion count in Amusement Mile, and each cube awards 500 silver studs plus a Riddler Puzzle Box used toward the wider Riddler challenge tally across Gotham.
