Smilegate’s MMORPG is live in Korea on PC, Android, and iOS, with region limits, security settings, and launch event windows.

Eclipse: The Awakening opened its Korean service on September 10, 2026 at 12:00 PM KST, and the clients are now live on PC, Android, and iOS with cross-play between them. Smilegate publishes the game, NPIXEL developed it, and the whole package runs through the STOVE platform rather than a standalone launcher. There is still no announced worldwide version, so the download route you take depends almost entirely on where your account and storefront are registered.

Quick answer: Download the PC client or mobile app from the official Eclipse page on STOVE. The game is released only as a Korean service, so from outside Korea you can reach the login screen but the client will not start the game without a VPN routing you through Korea, and account creation may require Korean mobile verification.

Where Eclipse: The Awakening is available after full release

The release that went live is the Korean service. Pre-registration ran through Google Play, the App Store, and STOVE, but a Korean pre-registration does not grant access in other markets, because account rules, payment methods, language support, and server territory are all set per region. A separate global launch has not been dated.

You may still see September 30 attached to the game in some places. That date came from an earlier Korean mobile store listing and was superseded; the service opened on September 10.

Every legitimate download starts from the official site. The landing page carries a GAME START button plus three download entries — Google Play, App Store, and the PC version — and the PC option installs through STOVE. There is no separate Steam or standalone build.

On Android, the listing is published by Smilegate, Inc. under the package name com.smilegate.eclipse.stove.google, and it appears on Google Play as 이클립스: 더 어웨이크닝. On iOS, use the App Store entry linked from the official site. Skip mirrored APKs, repackaged clients, and any launcher advertising a region bypass — those are not the shipped build and can cost you the account.

Before you install anything, confirm three things: that your account region matches the service you intend to play, that you have room for the client plus its patches, and that two-factor protection is switched on.

Playing from outside Korea: VPN and verification requirements

The behavior outside Korea is specific and easy to misread. The site and the login screen load normally, which makes it look like access works. The block happens one step later — the client will not launch the game itself without a connection routed through Korea.

Account creation is the second hurdle. Korean mobile verification may be required to finish registering a STOVE account, and that is not something a VPN solves. Storefront territory, payment method, and server policy can each block you independently of the others.

How to tell it worked: you pass the login screen and reach character creation with the four classes selectable. If you are stuck watching the login screen or the client closes after authentication, the region check is what stopped you, not a corrupted install.

Account security settings that affect access

The account page offers three protections worth understanding before you toggle anything, because one of them interacts directly with how you connect.

SettingWhat it does
Designated PC ManagementRestricts sign-in to machines you have approved
Stove authenticator (OTP)Adds a one-time code on top of your password
Blocking overseas loginsRejects sign-in attempts from outside Korea

Note: the overseas login block is the one setting that can lock you out of your own account if your traffic ever exits outside Korea. The OTP and designated PC options are safe to enable in every case.

Launch celebration event dates and rewards

The launch celebration runs from September 10, 2026 through November 4, 2026 at 04:00:00, with a shorter early window closing on September 23, 2026 at 04:00:00. Across the campaign, progression and login tracks hand out up to 100 character and weapon summons along with selection boxes, and the store listing advertises a guaranteed Hero-grade Transcendence, weapon, and weapon appearance for taking part.

One reward is class-locked rather than universal. The Reward Items dialog lets you pick a bound Orcail weapon, and the list is filtered by class, so the choice should match the character you actually intend to play rather than the one you plan to try out.

A separate 7-Day Special Reward track runs on daily attendance. The final day pays out a Rare Transcendent Summon Ticket, so the value is back-loaded and a skipped day pushes the payout further out.

Classes and weapon paths at launch

Four classes shipped with the release, and each one splits into two weapon paths. The split changes attack range, positioning, and defensive responsibility, so it is a bigger decision than the class name suggests.

ClassWeapon pathsRole
FighterSword and shield; greatswordFrontline defense or heavy melee
RangerBow; crossbow and trapsRanged pressure, zone control
SorceressStaff; orbArea damage or party support
AssassinKatana; dual daggersClose-range burst, repositioning

Authority progression, Stigmata, and Sacred Relics layer on top, which means two players on the same class and weapon can end up very far apart.

Offline progression, AI Mode, and Skill Fusion

Three systems define how the game plays day to day. The Sanctuary keeps collecting summon tickets and growth resources while you are logged out. AI Mode runs around the clock and handles hunting and gathering activities without you at the keyboard. Skill Fusion combines two abilities into a single new skill with different effects, range, or attack connections.

The AI Mode menu exposes what the automation is currently working on, including Daily Request, so you can check and redirect it rather than leaving it on a default loop.

If you are outside Korea, the practical decision is whether to work around a region lock now or wait for an officially serviced version in your territory. The launch event window closes on November 4, 2026, so anyone already inside the Korean service has a fixed runway to clear the reward tracks. For everyone else, the signals worth watching are the official site, STOVE announcements, and regional app store listings — that is where a second territory would be confirmed, and nothing has been dated yet.
