Every New Item in Elden Ring Tarnished Edition and Where to Find It

Exact locations, merchant prices, and invasion triggers for the weapons, armor sets, and Torrent skins added by the Tarnished Pack.

Exact locations, merchant prices, and invasion triggers for the weapons, armor sets, and Torrent skins added by the Tarnished Pack.

The new content that ships with Elden Ring Tarnished Edition on Nintendo Switch 2 — and with the Tarnished Pack on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox — is not tucked away in a new region. Every weapon, armor piece, and Torrent skin is scattered across the Lands Between you already know, sitting in chests, on corpses, in merchant inventories, and on the bodies of two new NPC invaders.

Quick answer: Two armor sets are sold by merchants and also come free with the new Heavy Knight and Idus Knight classes, three weapons are plain world pickups, three Spectral Steed Regalia sit in Stormveil Castle, Ranni’s Rise, and the Capital Outskirts, and two sets drop from invaders. Only the Golden Order set is missable — it requires Leyndell before you burn the Erdtree.

Where to find the three Torrent skins

Spectral Steed Regalia is a brand new item type, and it does nothing but change how Torrent looks. All three are cosmetic, all three are free, and none of them require a boss fight you haven’t already done.

Tree Sentinel is in Stormveil Castle. Fast travel to the Godrick the Grafted Site of Grace, walk out of the arena into the throne room, and turn right — the chest is new, so it will not be where your memory says treasure used to be.

Carian Silver is in the same room as the Ranni’s Rise Site of Grace in the Three Sisters. Head down the short flight of stairs from the grace and open the chest behind the table.

Funereal Night is the only one not in a chest. It sits by a Sword Monument in the Capital Outskirts, reachable by riding northeast from the Outer Wall Battleground grace past the field of giant stone gears, or by coming southeast from the Hermit Merchant’s Shack. Look for a small sword stuck in the ground behind a pair of birch trees near the monument — it is easy to ride straight past.

To wear any of them, rest at any Site of Grace and pick Change spectral steed appearance from the menu. The option only appears once you own at least one Regalia, which is the fastest way to confirm a pickup registered.

Merchant prices for the Steel, Silver Grooved, and Reverse-Bladed gear

If you start a character as a Heavy Knight or an Idus Knight, you already own one of these sets and its weapon. Everyone else can simply buy the armor, and the shops need no bell bearing or unlock — the stock is there from the start of any run.

ItemMerchantRunes
Hefty ScimitarNomadic Merchant north of Fort Haight, east Limgrave2,400
Silver Grooved ShieldNomadic Merchant below Bellum Church, Liurnia2,000
Silver Grooved ArmorNomadic Merchant below Bellum Church1,500
Silver Grooved Helm / Gauntlets / GreavesNomadic Merchant below Bellum Church1,000 each
Steel ArmorIsolated Merchant, Weeping Peninsula1,500
Steel Helm / Gauntlets / GreavesIsolated Merchant, Weeping Peninsula1,000 each
Reverse-Bladed SwordTwin Maiden Husks, Roundtable Hold1,000

The Bellum Church merchant is down the slope from the church itself, tucked under a cliff. The Reverse-Bladed Sword is a Backhand Blade with no matching armor set, and at 1,000 runes it is the cheapest new weapon in the pack.

Three weapons you pick up off the ground

The Reed Great Katana is the first Great Katana available in the Lands Between rather than the Realm of Shadow, and it comes with the Overhead Stance skill. Fast travel to Fort Faroth in Caelid and head for the large pale mound formation just north of the grace — you climb the mounds up to the giant skull and loot the corpse at the top.

The Ritual Thrusting Shield needs 13 Strength and 12 Dexterity and carries the Shield Strike skill. Take the lift up from the Deep Siofra Well Site of Grace, ride north past the two giant archers to the Caelid Colosseum, then open the doors behind the Great Jar. The corpse holding it is inside on the left.

The Idus Sword, a Light Greatsword, is in the shallow water northwest of the Liurnia Lake Shore Site of Grace. Wade through and expect a couple of Wraiths on the way — the corpse holding the sword is beside a large tree.

Leontiel’s Set: trigger the invasion in Radahn’s arena

Defeating the Knight Leontiel invader is the only way to get this set, and the invasion cannot happen until Starscourge Radahn is dead.

Fast travel to the Starscourge Radahn Site of Grace in the Wailing Dunes, which appears after the fight.
Ride northeast along the shoreline toward the ruined structures. The invasion message reading “Invaded by Knight Leontiel!” fires on its own once you reach the right patch of beach, so keep riding until it appears.
Beat him. The drop is the full set at once — Leontiel’s Greatsword, Hat, Armor, Leather Gloves, and Boots.

The greatsword requires 13 Strength and 26 Dexterity, and its unique Ash of War, Muleta, circles quickly around a target with roughly 20 frames of invincibility. It plays a lot like Blind Spot.

Golden Order Flail and Gold Tattoos: the missable set

This is the one that will cost you a playthrough if you rush. The invader who drops the Golden Order Flail, Broken Gold Mask, and the three Gold Tattoo pieces only appears in Leyndell, Royal Capital. Once you burn the Erdtree and the area becomes Leyndell, Ashen Capital, the whole chain is locked until New Game Plus.

Fast travel to the Erdtree Sanctuary Site of Grace. Go outside, climb the giant root, jump onto the roof, and enter through the upper window. Climb one more root inside and loot the chair hanging from the ceiling for the Golden Order Principia.
Take the book to the Church of Vows in Liurnia and hand it to Miriel, Pastor of Vows. The Law of Regression incantation then appears in the shop for 10,000 runes.
Get to 37 Intelligence, since that is what the spell demands. If you need to respec, there is a Larval Tear in the cemetery at the Village of the Albinaurics. Memorize Law of Regression at any Site of Grace before you head back.
Return to Erdtree Sanctuary, head downstairs and take the elevator down to the Marika statue. Look for the developer message about regression on the floor, stand directly on that message rather than next to the statue, and cast the incantation.
The statue changes and the “Radagon is Marika” line appears, exactly as in the base game. What’s new is the invader, The Noble Broken Mask. Kill him and the flail, mask, and all three tattoo pieces drop together.

Note: if the statue transforms but nobody invades, you almost certainly cast from the wrong tile. Reposition onto the message itself and cast again. If the spell will not slot into a memory slot at all, your Intelligence is still below 37.

Everything else in the pack is safe to collect at your own pace across a single run. Sweep the two merchants and the Twin Maiden Husks early, grab the three world weapons whenever you next pass through Caelid and Liurnia, and treat the Leyndell invasion as the one deadline on the list.
