Epic Seven Artifact Selector Tier List: Best 8th Anniversary Picks

Every 5-star artifact worth taking from the anniversary selection chest, ranked by how often the effect actually fires.

Free selectors are the part of an anniversary campaign that quietly decides how your account looks six months from now. A random summon is a lottery ticket. A selection chest is a guaranteed pick, and the Limited Artifact Selection Chest handed out during Epic Seven’s 8th Anniversary is one of the few moments where you get to reach into the artifact pool and take exactly what your roster is missing.

Quick answer: Take Holy Sacrifice if your PvP defense runs on Knight tanks, or Wind Rider if your damage comes from Thief units. Both sit at the top of the ranking, both scale hard at +30, and both are worth owning in multiples.

Where the artifact selector comes from

The chest is a milestone reward inside Festival of Shining Moments, the cumulative event running alongside the anniversary. That same milestone track also hands out a Limited 5★ Hero Selection Chest, a Natalon Academy Moonlight 5★ selector, an Unknown Slate, and a Potion of Knowledge. The anniversary period opened on August 27, 2026 and runs through October 29, so there is no need to rush the decision on day one.

One thing to do before you commit: open the chest’s preview and read the eligible artifact list in-game. Selector pools are curated, and not every artifact released before August 2026 is guaranteed to appear. Rank your shortlist first, then match it against what the chest actually offers.

Epic Seven artifact tier list for the anniversary selector

TierArtifacts
SHoly Sacrifice, Wind Rider, Elbris Ritual Sword, Sigurd Scythe, Secret Art: Stormsword
AAbyssal Crown, Alexa’s Basket, Etica’s Scepter, Celestine, Bloodstone, Renewed Will of the Priest, Doctor’s Bag, Idol’s Cheer, Bastion of Perlutia
BGolden Rose, Rod of Amaryllis, Song of Stars, Uberius’s Tooth
CProof of Love, Border Coin, Snow Crystal, Spear of a New Dawn, Alabastron, Little Queen’s Big Crown, Air-to-Surface Missile

Placements reflect how reliably an effect changes the outcome of a fight, how many heroes can equip it, and whether the artifact rewards owning several copies. Artifacts that only work in one narrow matchup drop, no matter how strong that matchup is.

S-tier picks: What each one actually does

ArtifactClassPayoff
Holy SacrificeKnightRevives the wearer once at 25% HP with a barrier scaled to max HP. The cleanest answer to cleave teams, and a staple on Krau-style tanks.
Wind RiderThiefStealth for a turn plus an attack boost after a kill. Turns Vildred, Haste and Rinak into a chain of safe follow-ups.
Elbris Ritual SwordKnightCounterattack chance whenever an ally is hit. Works on almost any protector, including counter-focused units.
Sigurd ScytheWarriorBelow half HP, raises attack and converts damage dealt into healing. Keeps aggressive Warriors like Cermia alive through long trades.
Secret Art: StormswordThiefLarge damage increase against debuffed targets. Pairs with any control team that lands debuffs before the Thief moves.

The common thread is that none of these need a specific hero to justify the pick. They are class-wide effects that stay useful as your roster changes, which is exactly what you want from a one-time selection. Holy Sacrifice in particular is the pick that swings games you would otherwise lose outright, since a dead tank that comes back with a barrier resets the entire opening trade.

Tip: enhancement matters more than tier here. Every one of these has a proc chance that climbs with levels, so a +30 A-tier artifact will outperform an unenhanced S-tier one in practice.

A-tier picks worth taking if your roster fits

These are one-copy artifacts. They are genuinely strong, but only when the right hero is sitting under them, so check your box before spending a selector on any of them.

  • Abyssal Crown gives Mages a stun chance on attack, which is how control Mages lock opponents out of turns in RTA.
  • Alexa’s Basket stacks attack and soul generation on Thieves, and it is the standard pick for Arbiter Vildred cleave.
  • Etica’s Scepter cuts skill cooldowns for Mages, which matters most on heroes whose whole plan is casting the same skill again.
  • Celestine heals your lowest-HP ally off a basic attack, giving Soul Weavers steady sustain without a cooldown.
  • Bloodstone converts Ranger damage into healing for the weakest ally, which carries Wyvern runs and cleave comps alike.
  • Renewed Will of the Priest pushes combat readiness, heals and grants immunity when an ally dies. Best on Iseria or Litania, and it needs +30 to feel complete.
  • Doctor’s Bag is an emergency heal plus debuff cleanse for Soul Weavers, with Elena as the obvious home.
  • Idol’s Cheer pushes your highest-attack ally forward in the turn order, a straightforward speed-control tool for Soul Weavers.
  • Bastion of Perlutia adds provoke and defense penetration to a Knight’s first skill, useful when you want a tank that also dictates targeting.

B-tier: Fine backups, poor selector picks

Golden Rose gives Warriors a damage bump above half HP and lifesteal below it, which is comfortable on Cermia or Lionheart but rarely decisive. Rod of Amaryllis heals off non-attack skills, a fit for support-heavy Soul Weavers. Song of Stars applies Target to increase incoming damage on a marked enemy, and Uberius’s Tooth adds follow-up damage after a single attack.

All four do something. None of them are worth a limited selector when the S-tier options are on the table, because you will eventually pull them from normal summons anyway.

C-tier: Do not spend a selector here

Proof of Love, Border Coin, Snow Crystal, Spear of a New Dawn, Alabastron, Little Queen’s Big Crown and Air-to-Surface Missile all share the same problem. Their conditions either almost never trigger, or the payoff when they do is a stat bump you would not notice. Spear of a New Dawn has no hero currently built around it, Little Queen’s Big Crown is a plain stat stick, and Snow Crystal only shows up in very specific counters.

If these land in your inventory from summons, treat them as fusion fodder or Mola material rather than something to invest levels into.

Duplicates, enhancement and confirming the pick landed

Duplicate copies are not wasted. Feeding extras into your keeper is the fastest route to +30 and skips weeks of grinding for enhancement material, which is the difference between an effect that fires occasionally and one you can build a team around. That is also why S-tier artifacts are the ones worth stacking across multiple copies rather than spreading thin.

After opening the chest and confirming your choice, the artifact appears in your artifact inventory at 5★ and level 1, ready to enhance. If it does not show up, the chest was almost certainly still sitting unclaimed in the Festival of Shining Moments milestone list rather than actually opened.

One last note on substats. At the endgame, a strong Speed or Crit Damage roll on an artifact can outweigh a mediocre effect, so do not scrap a well-rolled copy just because it sits a tier lower.

Rankings here reflect the state of the game as of the 8th Anniversary update that went live on August 27, 2026, and they weigh three things: how often the effect fires in real matches, how many heroes can equip it, and whether extra copies improve the artifact rather than sitting idle. Artifact value shifts as new heroes arrive, so if you are holding a selector past the anniversary window, re-check your shortlist against whatever your roster looks like then.
