Fighting styles are the melee backbone of any build in Haze Seas. They stack with your Devil Fruit and sword moves, so a good style gives you extra combo options for both grinding and PvP. There are five to collect, and each one can be pushed to a stronger V2 form once you put in the mastery and hunt down the right boss material.
Quick answer: Buy Black Leg, Fishman Karate, Cyborg, Electro, or Dragon Claw from their trainer NPCs, grind each to Mastery 300, then take the equipped style to the Sage of Combat on Land of the Gods in Sea 3 with the required boss drops and currency to unlock its V2.

Where to buy each V1 fighting style and what it costs
Each style is sold by its own trainer NPC. Black Leg is the cheapest entry point, while Cyborg is the priciest cash purchase and Dragon Claw is the only style paid for with Gems rather than Cash. You can start collecting styles as early as Sea 1, but most trainers sit together on Land of the Gods in Sea 3.
| Style | Trainer NPC | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Black Leg | Black Leg Trainer (Sea Restaurant Island) | $50,000 |
| Fishman Karate | Hakkon (Land of the Gods, Sea 3) | $450,000 |
| Electro | Carol (Land of the Gods, Sea 3) | $450,000 |
| Cyborg | Cyborg Scientist (Land of the Gods, Sea 3) | $800,000 |
| Dragon Claw | Dragon Master (Land of the Gods, Sea 3) | 150 Gems |
Black Leg is available to Sea 1 players straight from the Sea Restaurant Island trainer, which makes it the natural first pick for a new character. Hakkon, the Fishman Trainer, is found inside the spawn area on Land of the Gods, while Carol, the Cyborg Scientist, and the Dragon Master all stand near the same trainer cluster in Sea 3.

How to upgrade to V2 at the Sage of Combat
All V2 evolutions run through a single NPC, the Sage of Combat, on Land of the Gods in Sea 3. Equip the style you want to evolve, talk to the Sage, and a menu appears where you select the V2 upgrade for that equipped style. You must hit Mastery 300 on the V1 form first and carry the correct boss drops plus the listed currency.

| V2 Style | Requirements |
|---|---|
| Black Leg V2 | Mastery 300, 2 Phantom Lanterns, 5,000,000 Cash |
| Fishman Karate V2 | Mastery 300, 2 Sea Beast Hearts, 5,000,000 Cash |
| Cyborg V2 | Mastery 300, 2 Saturn’s Rings, 5,000,000 Cash |
| Electro V2 | Mastery 300, 2 Raijin’s Cores, 500 Gems |
| Dragon Claw V2 | Mastery 300, 2 Dragon Hearts, 500 Gems |
The materials each come from a specific target, so plan your farming around them:
- Phantom Lanterns are guaranteed drops for destroying the Ghost Ship in Sea 3.
- Sea Beast Hearts drop from Sea Beasts.
- Saturn’s Rings come from beating the Saturn boss on Egg Island in Sea 3.
- Raijin’s Cores drop from the Raijin superboss, which spawns only in Sea 3.
- Dragon Hearts drop from the Dragon Hybrid boss.

You know the upgrade worked when the Sage of Combat menu confirms the evolution and your equipped style swaps to its V2 kit with new move names. If the option is greyed out or refused, the usual reason is that you have not reached Mastery 300 on the correct V1 style, you are missing one of the two required drops, or you do not have the Cash or Gems on hand.
Titles you unlock along the way
Collecting styles and evolving them also rewards Titles. Five come from individual V2 unlocks, and two are milestone rewards for completing the full lineup.
| Title | Unlock condition |
|---|---|
| Leg of Fury | Obtain Black Leg V2 |
| Steel Titan | Obtain Cyborg V2 |
| Thunderlord | Obtain Electro V2 |
| Tidal Striker | Obtain Fishman V2 |
| Dragonic Master | Obtain Dragon Claw V2 |
| Master of the Styles | Acquire all five V1 styles |
| Grandmaster of the Styles | Upgrade all five styles to V2 |

Which style to grab first
Pick a style that matches where you are in the game. Black Leg is the obvious early buy at $50,000 and gives you a usable melee kit while you build Cash. Once you reach Sea 3, the rest of the trainers sit close together, so you can plan your purchases around whichever boss materials you are already farming for a V2 push.

Because styles scale with mastery and pair well with armament Haki, the deciding factor is usually which boss you can reliably beat for the V2 material, not the raw cost of the V1. If you are still deciding on a fruit, sword, or race, hold off on Gem spends and lean on the cheaper cash styles until your build settles. You can jump straight in and start farming through the official Haze Seas Roblox page.
