Traits are the multiplier layer sitting on top of every unit in Manhwa Legends. Each character can hold one trait at a time, and that single slot decides how much extra damage, crit, range, or Won a unit contributes. Because a reroll overwrites whatever you already have, knowing which traits are worth keeping saves you a lot of wasted Reroll Stones.
Quick answer: Roll Legend on your main DPS, Assassin on crit-based units like White Wolf, Boss Slayer for raid carries, and Hustler on farm units. Keep rerolling anything in C or D tier.
Manhwa Legends trait tier list (July 2026)
There are 19 traits in the current build. Placement is based on raw stat value, how well the bonus scales into hard content like Raids and Infinite, and how many units can actually make use of it. Rarity and reroll odds are ignored here, since the goal is simply the strongest possible outcome per slot.
| Tier | Traits |
|---|---|
| S | Legend, Ruler, Limit Break, Assassin |
| A | Boss Slayer, Swiftness, Hustler, Exposure |
| B | Sunderer, Ranger, Marksman III, Fighter III |
| C | Rogue III, Marksman II, Fighter II |

Legend is the clear best-in-slot for pure damage. A flat +300% DMG dwarfs every other offensive trait, and the smaller SPA and range bumps make the unit hit faster and reach farther on top. The only catch is the Max 1 placement cap, so you can only field one Legend unit at a time. Save it for whichever carry does the most work in a run.
Ruler earns its S spot for a different reason. Turning a unit’s element to Angelic lets its attacks cancel enemy abilities, which matters far more in Raids and Challenges than a stat line alone. The -10% SPA and +20% Range keep the unit safe while it does it. Limit Break is the well-rounded damage option when you want strong numbers without the placement limit, though the +25% deploy cost means you should pair it with a solid farm unit to cover the price.
Assassin is the trait to chase on any crit-scaling unit. The +40% Crit Chance and +60% Crit Damage transform units like White Wolf, whose whole kit revolves around landing crits and stacking Bleed. Below the top group, Boss Slayer is the pick for raid-focused accounts thanks to its +25% damage to bosses, while Hustler quietly funds everything by boosting Won from farm units and takedowns.

The full breakdown with exact stat values. Higher-numbered variants (Marksman III over Marksman II, for example) always beat their lower counterparts, which is why the tier I, II, and III lines fall into different tiers.

Best trait for each role
The right trait depends entirely on the job a unit does. Use this as a quick target list before you spend Reroll Stones.
| Role | Best trait |
|---|---|
| Main DPS | Legend |
| Boss killer | Legend or Boss Slayer |
| Crit-based DPS | Assassin |
| Story mode carry | Limit Break |
| Infinite mode carry | Legend |
| Farm unit | Hustler |
| Status-effect team (Burn/Bleed) | Exposure |
Note: Because Legend caps you at one placement, plan around which single unit deserves it. If your carry is a crit unit, Assassin often outperforms Legend once its passives are fully stacked, so test both before committing.
How to reroll traits
Rerolling replaces a unit’s current trait with a random new one, so only reroll units you actually plan to invest in. Each spin consumes materials, and the pool includes everything from D tier up to Legend.
Reroll Stones are not cheap, since a spin costs 20 of them. You earn them by completing quests, clearing stages, and redeeming active codes, so build up a stock before you start chasing an S-tier roll.
This ranking reflects the trait pool as it stands in July 2026. Balance passes and new content can shift values over time, so treat the S and A tiers as your safe long-term targets and reroll anything sitting in C or D the moment you have the stones to spare.
