Faithful Heart Tested at Skyfall Walkthrough in Wuthering Waves

Faithful Heart Tested at Skyfall is an Exploration Quest set in the Mengzhou region of Wuthering Waves. You meet an injured Midnight Ranger, then head into the Skyworks with Danjin to investigate what went wrong. The quest mixes normal combat with autopuppet segments where you control Zhongxu, and it ends with a boss fight and a short puzzle-like finale.

Quick answer: Finish Chapter IV Act II of the main story to unlock the quest, track it, travel to Goldsong Woods to talk to the NPC, then interact with the Rogue Autopuppet next to Danjin to begin.

Requirements to unlock Faithful Heart Tested at Skyfall

The quest only appears after you clear Chapter IV Act II of the main story. Once that story beat is done, open your quest tab and set Faithful Heart Tested at Skyfall as your tracked quest so the navigation marker points you to the starting point.

Start the quest and reach Skyworks

Travel to Goldsong Woods and speak with the NPC there. After the conversation, interact with the Rogue Autopuppet standing near Danjin to trigger the opening.

Ride the motorbike alongside Danjin and drive to Skyworks. A group of enemies waits at the entrance, so clear them and step onto the elevator.

When the elevator reaches the top, look at the claw hand and use the Skyflow Lines to pass through the barrier. Take the elevator up again, wait for Zhongxu to throw the spikes, then use the grapple to swing across to the far side.

Tune Zhongxu and clear the Assembly Bay

Touch Zhongxu to open the system panel, then keep pressing the glowing button. This tunes its frequency and turns you into the autopuppet.

Take the lift down to the lower level and follow the quest navigation, moving forward with the Skyflow Line. Keep going until you reach the Thousandfold Foundry: Assembly Bay.

Defeat every enemy in the bay. Lean on Zhongxu’s skill here, since its area attack clears grouped mobs faster.

Pull the Earthpull Lever, then strike the Earthwaking Drum three times to shut the barrier. Control switches over to Danjin once the barrier is down.

Push through the facility with Danjin

Wait for the elevator to lower, then defeat the enemies waiting at the bottom. Use the Skyflow Line afterward to reach Zhongxu’s location.

Pull the Earthpull Lever near the gate to trigger a cutscene. When it ends, destroy the obstacles blocking the path and keep moving forward.

Grab the Mountainpin Cable from the wall and throw it at the glowing target across the gap, then ride the zipline to advance. Hold the sprint button to smash through the next set of obstacles.

Several enemy waves spawn along this stretch. Clear all of them, follow the navigation, and pull the Earthpull Lever. Keep striking the drum to help the autopuppet, then interact with Zhongxu to continue.

Exit the building by following the marker and hold the sprint button to move through. Sprinting also shields you from the incoming explosives.

Beat the Xuan Crane and Rustfire Chassis boss

Dodge the Xuan crane’s attack and defeat the Tacet Discords in the area. Pick up the spikes near you and throw them at the enemies and barrels to assist Danjin, then move to the next marked spot and clear the enemies there.

Head to the marked location, pick up a spike, and strike the Xuan Crane. Keep tapping the Normal Attack button until it goes down.

Take the zipline back to Skyworks, check on Zhongxu, then fight the Myriad Snare: Rustfire Chassis boss. If Zhongxu goes down during the fight, you can still finish the boss using Rover and Danjin.

Finish the kernel sequence

After the boss, interact with Zhongxu to enter a maze-like segment. Follow the phantom and break the obstacles along the way. Once you reach the top of the stairs, keep using plunging attacks.

At the next system board, destroy every red block to stop the reset. Then keep moving right until Danjin appears on screen and spam the normal attack button to trigger a cutscene where you take a picture.

Return to the Shaftpost Yard and speak with Danjin to have a heart-to-heart. This conversation completes the Exploration Quest.

You will know the quest is done when the dialogue with Danjin ends and the quest clears from your tracker along with the reward prompt.

After you wrap up the quest, Danjin sends you a Wavesline message. Opening it starts the Faithful Heart Tested at Skyfall: Epilogue quest, which is very short and only asks you to talk with Danjin one more time to close things out.
