The Lasting Legacy objective in EA Sports FC 26 hands out six free End of an Era (EOAE) player items along with pack rewards, but most of the tasks lock progress behind specific nationalities, leagues, and play patterns. Every match-based task accepts Squad Battles on Semi-Pro or higher, Division Rivals, FUT Champions, or Live Events. The 20-goal task is the only one that counts goals across any mode without restrictions.
Squad requirements that matter
Most of the friction in this objective comes from squad-building constraints rather than gameplay difficulty. Mixing the right players into a single lineup lets you stack progress on multiple tasks per match.
- Spain (defenders): Needs at least two Spanish defenders in the Starting 11 for the Lekue task. Cheap silvers or low-rated golds work.
- Ligue 1: Any Ligue 1 player can deliver the 10 assists for Capelle.
- Portugal: The Pizzi task specifically requires Through Pass assists. Manual through balls (Y/Triangle) trigger faster than driven through passes.
- Scottish Premiership: Only one player from the league needs to be in the Starting 11 while you score the goal yourself with any player.
- Barclays Women's Super League (BWSL): Finesse Shots are required for all 10 goals.
- Republic of Ireland: Cross assists only. Driven crosses and whipped crosses both count.
Fastest stacking order
To minimize matches, build a squad that overlaps as many filters as possible. A Spanish back line with a Portuguese midfielder, a Ligue 1 winger, and a BWSL forward can progress four tasks at once. Add a Scottish Premiership substitute to chip away at the Tavernier requirement during easier games.
Step 1: Start with the 20-goal task active and run Squad Battles on Semi-Pro against the lowest-rated weekly opponent. Use a striker who can also handle Finesse Shots so Beth Mead's task progresses in parallel if you slot in a BWSL forward.
Step 2: Swap defenders to Spanish options before clean-sheet attempts. The "1 goal or fewer" condition is generous, so even a 3-1 win does not fail the requirement.
Step 3: Use the Portuguese player exclusively for Through Pass assists. Hold L1/LB and press Y/Triangle to force the assist type the game counts.
Step 4: Save the Irish cross task for last if you struggle with crossing accuracy. Crossing into the box with a tall striker on the receiving end produces the most reliable assists.
How to confirm progress
Task counters update on the objective screen immediately after each match. If a goal or assist does not register, the most common reasons are:
- The assist type did not match the requirement (a normal pass instead of a Through Pass, or a cut-back instead of a cross).
- The required nationality or league player was not on the pitch when the action occurred.
- Squad Battles difficulty was set below Semi-Pro.
- The player who scored or assisted was a loan item that lost eligibility mid-match.
Once all seven tasks show as complete, the bonus 82+ pack drops into your unassigned items along with the final EOAE card. The six EOAE players are permanent additions to your club and can be used as fodder for SBCs if you do not plan to field them, since their ratings sit below the current TOTS meta.
None of the rewards are tradeable, but the EOAE items help bring down the average rating cost on higher-end Squad Building Challenges, which is where most of their value sits this late in the FC 26 cycle.
