FC 27 Future Stars Team 2: Release Countdown and Leaked Squad

The second Future Stars drop is lined up for Friday, October 16, with 15 leaked youngsters set to replace Team 1 in packs.

The second Future Stars drop is lined up for Friday, October 16, with 15 leaked youngsters set to replace Team 1 in packs.

Future Stars Team 2 moves into FC 27 Ultimate Team this week, swapping out the current Team 1 items in packs and adding another batch of boosted young players. The pack swap is lined up for Friday, October 16, 2026, with extra names arriving through SBCs and objectives on top of the main squad.

Quick answer: Future Stars Team 2 is expected to go live at 5PM UTC on Friday, October 16, 2026, replacing Team 1 in packs. The date and time come from community reporting and are not yet confirmed by EA.

Release status and go-live time

Status is expected, not confirmed. EA has not published a date or named a single Team 2 player yet, so the Friday, October 16 timing rests on community reporting. It follows the one-week cycle used for Team 1, which arrived on October 9, and it matches the standard promo window FC 27 has used across releases.

New content in Ultimate Team normally lands at the same hour each week. These are the times the swap is expected to hit:

RegionTime (Fri, Oct 16)
PDT10:00 AM
CDT12:00 PM
EDT1:00 PM
UTC5:00 PM
BST6:00 PM
CEST7:00 PM

Team 2 directly replaces Team 1 in eligible packs at that time, so Friday is the last day to chase a Team 1 card from packs. Cards you already own keep tracking toward their upgrades regardless of the swap.

You will know Team 2 is live when the new items start appearing in packs and the in-game promo timer resets. Open packs after the swap if you are hoping to pull one of the new cards.

Leaked Team 2 pack players

Team 2 again features 15 pack players, a mix of men’s and women’s youngsters from across global football. The names below come from leaks, and the overall ratings and positions are predictions rather than official card data. Treat every entry as unconfirmed until the items appear in Ultimate Team.

The leak ranks Mainoo highest at 89 OVR; Pubill, Rayan and Mastantuono are each listed at 88. By reputation, Mainoo, Mastantuono and Rayan seem the strongest candidates to drive pack demand when the team arrives. Last week’s Team 1 pack leak correctly matched the squad that was released, but the SBC predictions were less dependable, so consider every name unconfirmed until Friday at 5PM UTC.

The ratings and face stats circulating for these players are predictions. Do not spend coins on the Transfer Market based on them. Wait for the official cards before setting any budget, since positions, PlayStyles and chemistry decide real value, not the overall alone.

SBC and objective players

Alongside the 15 pack players, Team 2 brings more Future Stars through SBCs and objectives. Unlike the pack cards, these do not depend on luck, you complete the listed requirements to add them to your squad. Johan Manzambi and Julio César Enciso are reported to headline that side of the release, which gives grinders something concrete to target on launch day.

How Future Stars cards upgrade

Future Stars is an active promo in which cards receive stat boosts according to the real players’ performances. Monitoring began on October 9, with upgrades scheduled to arrive on February 3, 2027. Domestic league fixtures are the only ones that count. EA’s requirements for Future Stars items are as follows:

  • In most leagues, four starts in league matches earn +1 OVR, capped at 86; eight starts earn a further +1 OVR, bringing the maximum to 87.
  • Attackers and midfielders unlock a PlayStyle+ with 7 combined goals and assists, then a 5★ weak foot at 10.
  • Defenders, keepers and CDMs receive those same rewards after 4 clean sheets, then 7.
  • For NWSL, MLS, Liga MX and LPF, the reduced thresholds are 2 and then 3 starts; 2 and then 4 goals plus assists; or 2 and then 3 clean sheets.

Because EA describes these rules for Future Stars items as a whole, Team 2 is expected to use the same tables as Team 1. A quiet-looking name today can still turn into a strong card by February if the real player performs.

What else arrives in Week 2

EA has confirmed several items for the second week of Future Stars beyond the Team 2 squad:

  • The PlayStyle+ Lab arrives, and the first UEFA Star Performers qualify for PlayStyle+ upgrades starting October 17.
  • The second Ultimate Gauntlet of FC 27.
  • A new Flash Rush event.
  • More Player and Puzzle SBCs through the promo.

Season 1 closes on October 22, 2026, placing this content week alongside the season transition. If your packs have been set aside since Team 1, leave them unopened until Friday, particularly if Mainoo and Mastantuono could be included. Keep a mix of untradeable 82+ fodder on hand as well, because more SBCs arrive during the week.
