The Play-Ins of the Free Fire Max India Cup (FFMIC) 2026 Fall wrapped up on July 26 after seven days of competition, sending 42 teams through to the Group Stage. A field of 84 squads was split into seven groups of 12, and each group played six matches, with only the top six in every group surviving the cut.

Quick answer: 42 teams advanced from the Play-Ins, the top six from each of the seven groups (A through G). They join six directly invited teams from the 2026 Spring season, making 48 squads for the Group Stage that runs August 6 to 16.


42 teams qualified for the FFMIC 2026 Fall Group Stage

The 84-team Play-Ins pulled players from three pathways: six teams placed 7th to 12th at 2026 Spring, 12 City Qualifier winners, and 66 squads from the in-game FFC Mode qualifier. Here are the six qualifiers from each group.

Team Elite topped Group A, with NXT Esports and Fireeyes Glory rounding out the top three. NKG led Group B ahead of RTX, The MVPS, and Team Evolution. Skill Max controlled Group C, followed by RDX and Kingz Army. Orangutan X TSG took the prime spot in Group D over Clutza and Resurrection. NG Pros headed Group E ahead of AD Zuipts, The W Squad, and Chillmates, while Vasiyo Esports won Group F, with Cruel and LXP also in the top three.

The top six finishers from FFMIC 2026 Spring skip the Play-Ins entirely and drop straight into the Group Stage. That takes the total field to 48 teams.

Group G final standings (Day 7)

Group G closed out the Play-Ins on July 26. PVS Gaming dominated with 146 points, built on one Booyah and 100 eliminations across six aggressive matches, including a 35-point win in the opening game. ROFANI Esports took second on 102 points without a Booyah, and Learn From Past claimed third with 98 points and two Booyahs.

Naaz Esports finished fourth on 92 points, sparked by a 31-point Booyah in the fifth game. Retired Pros held fifth with 87 points and one Booyah, including a 29-point win, while SGU Esports grabbed the last qualifying spot on 80 points. Nightmare missed out by a narrow margin in seventh with 73 points.


What the Group Stage looks like next

The Group Stage runs across two weeks and cuts the 48-team field down to 18 for the Knockout Stage. In Week 1, from August 6 to 9, the teams split into four groups of 12, each playing six matches, with the top nine from every group advancing. Week 2, from August 14 to 16, reshuffles the surviving 36 teams into three groups of 12, and the top six from each group reach the Knockout Stage.

FFMIC 2026 Fall carries a total prize pool of ₹1 crore, with the champion taking ₹35 lakh. The Knockout Stage narrows the bracket to 12 finalists, and the Grand Finals date and venue remain to be announced, though Gandhinagar’s Mahatma Mandir Convention & Exhibition Centre in Ahmedabad is the expected host for the two-day, Champion Rush finale.
