Fields of Mistria 1.0: Everything New in the Full Release

Marriage, children, a finished town questline, and seven languages headline the update that takes the farming sim out of Early Access on PC.

Marriage, children, a finished town questline, and seven languages headline the update that takes the farming sim out of Early Access on PC.

Fields of Mistria has left Early Access. Version 1.0 landed on PC through Steam on August 5, 2026, exactly two years after the cozy life sim first opened in Early Access on August 5, 2024. The update closes out the long-running Town Repair storyline, adds full romance capstones with weddings and children, and layers in a stack of quality-of-life fixes on top.

Quick answer: The biggest 1.0 additions are the completable Town Repair Questline, a raised Heart cap of 10 with proposals, weddings, marriage and optional children, two new Saturday Market vendors, Steam Achievements, and beta localizations for seven languages. It is a PC (Steam) release, with console ports still unconfirmed.

Where to get the 1.0 update

The full game is live on PC via Steam. If you already own it in Early Access, the update installs over your existing copy. NPC Studio has said it will look at possible console versions after this launch, but nothing has been confirmed on that front.

Existing saves carry forward. Steam Achievements populate retroactively based on your save data once you load an old file. If you would rather earn them fresh, start a new save instead.

Romance, weddings, and children

The relationship system now runs all the way to the altar. NPC Heart Levels cap at 10, and reaching the new top level unlocks a 10-Heart Proposal Event for the character you are dating. You can watch every proposal event and collect each NPC’s Special Item before committing, because 10-Heart events can be re-triggered until you actually propose.

To pop the question, you craft the Engagement Ring at a Forge. Elsie mails you the recipe the morning after you hit Heart Level 10, and you use the recipe scroll to unlock it. From there you can plan the wedding itself, choosing details like flower color, cake flavor, and the reception meal through dialogue with your fiancé in the days before the ceremony.

After marriage, a cutscene grants the Mystical Feather item, which opens an optional family planning discussion for players who want a child. Children arrive with their own events, and marriage brings new post-wedding dialogue and NPC routines. You can also kiss any NPC you are dating, engaged to, or married to.

Note: If you are dating multiple NPCs, getting engaged defaults to a “break-up” that shifts the others from Dating to Best Friends. Two new settings let you either hide the break-up letters and follow-up lines, or disable the status change entirely. The full disable must be toggled before you confirm an engagement to take effect.

Town Repair completion and the Saturday Market

The central Town Repair Questline can finally be finished, and the Town Renown Cap rises to 100. Along the way you get the Mistril Town Rank Event, the “Saturday Market Plaza” quest, and the “Repair the Bell Tower” quest. Town Rank Quests were also added to guide your existing progress more clearly.

Two vendors round out the Saturday Market. Unlocking Stillwell opens Mission Quests through his Mission Board, while unlocking Zorel lets you buy Crystal Resonators and Song Crystals. Those Song Crystals let you customize the music playing on your farm and inside the rooms of your home. There is also a fresh “Friday Night at the Inn” storyline that appears after you finish the Mines storyline, plus new entries on the Request Board.

The seven new perks

Seven perks join the skill trees across three disciplines.

SkillNew perks
CookingEspresso Yourself
RanchingPlaytime, Eggstra, Close Bond II, True Trust
WoodcraftingHammer Timing IV, Deliberate Debris II

The Combat perk Friend-Shaped also gets a new payoff. With it active, every monster drops a Pet Skin that changes your pet’s appearance to match that monster. A new Big Chicken mount is available too.

Museum, music, and house customization

The Museum can now be completed. Two new sets, the Honey Set and the Terrarium Treasures Set, come with their own rewards, and you can enter the Museum Wing rooms to browse your collection. Donation popups were reordered so a Museum Set Complete message shows right after the item you donated.

On the audio side, there is a new winter song, four seasonal tracks that swap to extended versions as you progress, and ten additional songs available through Song Crystals. Once your house is fully upgraded, you can also restyle its exterior. Landen sends you a letter after the final upgrade, which unlocks the option at the Carpenter’s Shop.

Furniture, cosmetics, and art touches

Decorating gets several new furniture lines, including the Monster Set, Ornate Set, Bonsai Set, and Dragon Set. Wardrobe additions include the Barrel Hat, Wedding Outfits, Beetle Mandible Horns, and Dragonfly Wings, among others.

Visual details were sharpened as well. Cloud shadows now fall on sunny days, Ryis’ Hawthorn tree has an intermediate growth stage, and the Bathhouse water wheel animates. New UI indicators help too, with a directional arrow for placing furniture, an arrow over Mines ladders, and a talk icon over Caldarus’ Statue.

Languages, achievements, and quality-of-life changes

Beta localizations cover seven languages: Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, French, Japanese, Korean, Russian, and Spanish. Steam Achievements are in, with the retroactive support noted above.

The update tunes several systems and adds convenience options.

AreaChange
Character creationYou can now rotate your character in the customization menu
GraphicsNew settings menu with brightness and saturation sliders and performance options
DatingTaking an NPC on a date raises their Heart Level more
MinesImproved drop rates from treasure chests; more common Ritual Chamber and Treasure room spawns
EventsAnimals are fed and crops watered automatically during March’s 8-Heart Event
InteractionsTalking to NPCs now takes priority when interactions overlap

Performance also improved. NPC Studio cut the game’s VRAM use by more than half, fixed startup errors that blocked older PCs from launching, and resolved a startup crash tied to the new localized languages. A range of smaller bugs were squashed too, from walking on water through diagonal corners to the Harvest Festival scoring and a rare crash when scrolling the museum menu quickly.

Reaching 1.0 wraps up the roadmap NPC Studio followed through Early Access, which had already added quests, festivals, and love interests like Caldarus and the Priestess. The studio has said feedback is still welcome, framing the full release as a foundation rather than an endpoint.
