Shopping drives most of your progress in Fields of Mistria. Seeds, tools, recipes, furniture, cosmetics, and crafting materials are split across 16 vendors, and knowing exactly where each one sits and what it carries saves you a lot of wasted walking. Some shops open from the very first day, others appear only after a story quest, and a whole cluster of stalls shows up only on Saturdays.
Quick answer: Eight shops are open from the start (Balor’s Wagon, General Store, Sleeping Dragon Inn, Valen’s Clinic, the Blacksmith, the Carpenter Shop, the Tackle Shop, and Hayden’s Shop). The Saturday Market stalls (Darcy, Vera, Louis, Merri) unlock after Repairing the Bridge; Wheedle and Taliferro appear after Upgrading the Saturday Market; Zorel appears after Expanding the Saturday Market; and the Souvenir Stall only runs during seasonal festivals.

The General Store is your main farming supplier, sitting in the southeast of Town directly across the road from the Sleeping Dragon Inn. Seeds cycle by season. A handful of extras only appear once you finish the Repair the General Store quest, marked below.

Sleeping Dragon Inn (meals, drinks, and recipes)
The Inn is the food hub, positioned in the second row from the bottom of the town map between the stables and the General Store. It sells ready meals, drinks, cooking recipes, and a set of coffee and espresso cup decorations. Completing Upgrade the Inn adds higher-tier meals, several recipes, and a full range of inn-themed furniture.

The Blacksmith sits on the northwest side of Town, one row south of the Manor and west of the Bathhouse. It sells tools, armor, and ore across four material tiers. Each tier only opens once you reach the matching mine area, so your stock grows as you dig deeper.

Carpenter Shop (materials, furniture, and building blueprints)
The Carpenter Shop is out on the Eastern Road, east of Mistria and northeast of your farm. It is where you buy raw materials, basic Oak and Walnut furniture, crafting modules, and the blueprints for coops, barns, and greenhouses.
Materials on hand are Wood, Stone, Glass, Clay, and Fiber. The furniture line covers Oak and Walnut versions of the Bookshelf, Chair, Single and Double Bed, Dresser, Flooring, Nightstand, Table, Wallpaper, and Window. Crafting modules include the Level 1 Kitchen and Crafting Station, with the Level 2 Kitchen unlocking after you raise your cooking skill and receive Ryis’s letter in Fall.

Terenthia’s Tackle Shop is on the southwest beach and handles everything fishing-related. You start with the Worn Fishing Rod, and better rods arrive by letter as your fishing skill climbs.

Saturday Market: how to unlock it
The Saturday Market only opens once you fix the eastern bridge that was damaged in the earthquake. The Repairing the Bridge quest arrives in the mail on Spring 3 of your first year and needs 60 Wood and 60 Stone. Once the bridge is restored, the traveling vendors can reach Town and set up in front of the Manor each Saturday.
You know it worked when the market stalls appear below the Manor House on the next Saturday and the villagers gather in the town center. Two later quests expand the lineup further, adding Wheedle and Taliferro (Upgrading the Saturday Market) and then Zorel (Expanding the Saturday Market).
Darcy’s café (desserts, drinks, and recipes)
Darcy runs the market café, selling sweet treats, drinks, and cooking recipes. The ready-made items stay in rotation, though weekly stock varies, while each recipe disappears once you buy it. Because every villager is nearby on Saturdays, buying liked or loved gifts here is a quick friendship boost.

The Souvenir Stall is a temporary vendor run by Nora and Holt that only shows up during seasonal events such as the Spring Festival. Find it in the town square near the Blacksmith, just left of the main festival stage. Its small selection covers Scent of Spring, Breath of Spring Planter, Breath of Spring Basket, and the Harvest Plate.
Keep the season and quest gates in mind as you plan your Saturdays: the market only rewards a finished bridge, tool and armor upgrades follow your mine progress, and the best-value furniture almost always comes from buying the recipe rather than the finished piece.
