Moonfire Faire returns to Final Fantasy XIV this summer with a lineup built around pool floats. The event opens on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at 1:00 a.m. PDT and closes on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at 7:59 a.m. PDT. That gives you roughly two weeks to clear the quests and collect the rewards. Seasonal quests cannot be completed once the event ends, so anything you miss will only return later through the in-game vendor or the online store in future years.
Requirements and how to start
There is only one gate this year. Your character needs to be level 30 and have access to Limsa Lominsa. No combat is involved, so you do not need a specific class or job unlocked to finish the event.
You know it worked when the mount appears in your Mounts collection and the achievement pops on screen. If neither triggers, the quest has not yet been turned in.

A Moonfire Faire Vendor sets up in Eastern La Noscea (37.0, 29.4) for the duration of the event. She sells the raft furnishings and advertisement posters for gil, along with cheap fireworks and festive items. What the Moonfire Faire is
Moonfire Faire is the annual summer celebration in Eorzea, themed around Japanese summer festivals. In the game’s lore, the Adventurers’ Guild first held it to recruit members for the Cascadiers, a group formed to fight off an invasion of Bombards. It proved popular enough to continue every year, Bombards or not, and now runs as a festive event centered on the coastal resort at Costa del Sol.
Note: Because the seasonal quest closes for good at the end of the run, secure the Inflatable Mograft before August 26, 2026 at 7:59 a.m. PDT. The furnishings can still be bought from the vendor while the event is active, and past-year items are expected to reappear through the online store ahead of future celebrations.
