A horde of Yo-kai is descending on Eorzea again, bringing back the “Gather One, Gather All!” crossover between Final Fantasy XIV and Level-5’s Yo-kai Watch. The run repeats the familiar grind for minions, cosmetic weapons, and mounts, and this time it adds three new indoor furnishings on top of everything from earlier events.
Quick answer: The event runs from August 4 to October 5, 2026. To join, reach level 15, finish one of the three envoy quests, then speak to the Poor-heeled Youth in Ul’dah – Steps of Nald (X:9.2, Y:9.1) to start the quest and receive your Yo-kai Watch.
Event dates and eligibility requirements
The collaboration is live from August 4, 2026 through October 5, 2026. Rewards are only obtainable while the event is active, so plan the grind around that window. The last time it appeared was in 2024, so this is the first chance in a while to collect the older items alongside the new ones.
Before you can accept the quest, your character has to meet two conditions:
- Be level 15 or higher on at least one class.
- Have completed The Gridanian Envoy, The Lominsan Envoy, or The Ul’dahn Envoy.
Note: If you already finished the event quest in a previous run, you cannot accept it again. You can still earn Yo-kai Medals as long as you have a Yo-kai Watch equipped, and Yo-kai Watches can be repurchased from recompense officers in the major cities during the event.

How Yo-kai Medals and Legendary Medals work
There are two currencies. Standard Yo-kai Medals buy minions, and Legendary Yo-kai Medals buy the cosmetic weapons. Both come from FATEs, but the conditions differ.
Standard Yo-kai Medals drop when you finish a FATE with a Silver or Gold rating while the Yo-kai Watch is equipped. Eligible zones cover A Realm Reborn’s La Noscea, Thanalan, and The Black Shroud, plus all Heavensward and Stormblood regions.
Legendary Yo-kai Medals are tied to individual Yo-kai. To earn a specific Legendary Medal, summon the matching Yo-kai minion and complete a FATE with a Silver or better rating in that minion’s assigned zones. You do not need the watch equipped for this part, only the correct minion out. The Medallium lists which FATEs and zones correspond to each weapon.
Take your medals to Nohi, the wandering executive, at the Gold Saucer (X:5.2, Y:6.9) to exchange them for minions, weapons, and the milestone rewards. The Legendary Medal drop rate is not guaranteed, so expect the weapon grind to take longer than the minion grind.
Tip: If auto-umbrella is enabled under Fashion Accessories, your minion may not spawn while it is raining. Turn it off before farming Legendary Medals.
Medal costs for every minion and weapon
There are 17 minions and 17 weapons in total. The reduced pricing introduced in the 2020 run still applies, so the totals are far lower than the original 2016 and 2017 costs. The first purchase in each category is discounted.
| Purchase | Cost |
|---|---|
| First minion | 1 Yo-kai Medal |
| Each additional minion | 3 Yo-kai Medals |
| All 17 minions | 49 Yo-kai Medals |
| First weapon | 5 Legendary Medals |
| Each additional weapon | 10 Legendary Medals |
| All 17 weapons | 165 Legendary Medals |

Mounts and milestone rewards
Hitting certain collection milestones unlocks the mounts and the framer’s kit automatically. The furnishings and framer’s kit require befriending every Yo-kai first.
| Milestone | Reward |
|---|---|
| Befriend 13 Yo-kai minions | Whisper-go mount |
| Befriend all 17 minions | Yo-kai Watch Framer’s Kit (20,000 MGP) and access to the new furnishings |
| Collect 13 Yo-kai weapons | Whisper A-go-go mount |
| Collect all 17 weapons | Jibanyan Couch mount |
You will know a reward has unlocked when the mount or item is added to your collection after Nohi hands over the qualifying minion or weapon. The framer’s kit lets you frame your character portrait with a Yo-kai Watch design once all 17 minions are collected.
New indoor furnishings added for the 2026 return
The one genuinely new addition this time is a set of three indoor furnishings. No new minions or weapons were added, so returning players who already finished the collection can jump straight to these items.
Once you have befriended all 17 Yo-kai, return to Nohi at the Gold Saucer (X:5.2, Y:6.9) to buy the following for MGP:
- Wibbly-wobbly Jibanyan
- Wibbly-wobbly Komasan
- Wibbly-wobbly USApyon
Any Yo-kai Medals you saved from earlier runs carry over and can be spent in this event, so you are not starting from zero if you took part before.
Farm Atma and relic memories during the event
Because the grind is built entirely around FATEs, it doubles as an efficient relic-farming window. If you are working on a Zodiac Weapon, complete the quest Up in Arms and equip a Zenith tier relic, and you can gather Atmas and Yo-kai Medals at the same time.
The same stacking works for later relics. Having For Want of a Memory active yields Tortured, Sorrowful, and Harrowing Memory of the Dying from FATEs in their Heavensward zones, while The Resistance Remembers yields Haunting and Vexatious Memory of the Dying from Stormblood zones. Since Legendary Medals require you to farm those exact regions anyway, the overlap saves a lot of time.
With everything from past runs plus the three new furnishings on the table, the smart move is to prioritize the minions first to unlock the Whisper-go mount and the framer’s kit, then chip away at the slower Legendary Medal grind for the weapons and remaining mounts before the event closes on October 5.
