Harpoon Guns are a ranged fishing tool in Fisch that let you target roaming fish directly in the water. You fire a harpoon, hook the fish, then finish a short pull minigame to reel it in. There are seven to collect, and each one lives on a different part of the map with its own price, stats, and in some cases a passive effect.
Quick answer: Six Harpoon Guns are bought through exploration (Steady, Fungal, Frost Biter, Great Dream Waker, Crystal Crasher, Trident Striker) and the Relic Piercer is crafted at the Ancient Archives on Ancient Isle. Each one appears in your Equipment Bag under the Harpoon Guns category once obtained.

The guns are spread from Crystal Cove to the Cursed Isle, so collecting the full set means traveling across several islands. Prices are in C$. Two guns also require Bestiary completion before they can be added to your bag.

Note: the Cursed Isle landmark only spawns during foggy, autumn, or summer nighttime. Use a Sundial to speed up the celestial cycle or wait for night before heading there.
Harpoon Gun stats compared
Stats vary widely, so a cheaper gun is not automatically worse for every job. Power and Max Kg decide whether a gun can hook heavy targets, while Reload and Velocity affect how quickly the harpoon fires and travels.

Accuracy and Resilience round out each gun. The Steady Harpoon Gun has the best Accuracy at 50% and 20% Resilience, but its 6-second reload is the slowest of the set. The Frost Biter has the fastest projectile at 100/ps. The Trident Striker leads on raw Power (50) and the highest Max Kg (50,000), with a unique piercing effect. The Fungal Harpoon Gun is the weakest, with 10 Power and a 5,000 Max Kg, so it cannot hook large sharks and will show a “too weak for this fish” warning.
Passive hunt focuses
Two guns carry a targeted bonus. The Great Dream Waker has a Leviathan hunt focus (+30) and +9 Disturbance. The Frost Biter has a Frostwyrm hunt focus (+12) and +2 Disturbance.
How the pull minigame works
Landing a harpoon shot only hooks the fish. It does not add the catch to your inventory on its own. After a hit, a PULL prompt appears with shrinking circular targets, and you click them as they close. Missing a target sets your progress back significantly, so the sequence is the harder half of catching with a Harpoon Gun.
The full loop is: find a roaming fish, aim, fire, hook it, then complete the pull minigame to finish the catch. Spears such as the Royal Spear remain faster for raw fish farming because they skip the pull minigame entirely.
Crafting the Relic Piercer
The Relic Piercer is the only Harpoon Gun you build rather than buy. Head to the Harpoon Gun Crafting table in the Ancient Archives on Ancient Isle with the materials ready.
- x3 Moonstone — roughly a 1.4% chance from a Meteor at Ancient Isle
- x2 Scrap Metal — catchable anywhere in the Ocean with the Training Rod
- x1 Meg’s Spine (Marrow) — fish around Ancient Isle, or use a Crab Cage
Once all three parts are in your inventory, interact with the crafting table to build one Relic Piercer. It comes in with 50 Power and 50 Velocity, alongside 20 Accuracy and -5 Resilience.
Unlock the Trident Striker with the Desolate Deep ritual
The Trident Striker is locked behind a puzzle in Desolate Deep that opens Poseidon’s hidden armory, also called the Trident Vault.
Enchantments and the launch code
The update also added 10 Harpoon Gun enchantments and 10 Spear enchantments. Harpoon Guns can currently be enchanted using Enchant Relics and Cosmic Relics, so you can tune each weapon toward a preferred setup.
A promotional code, HarpoonGunsAreAwesome, was released alongside the update. Codes can expire without warning, so redeem it in-game while it is still active.
How to equip and confirm your Harpoon Gun
Harpoon Guns are not treated as regular rods, so a new purchase will not appear in your rod list. Open the Equipment Bag, choose the Harpoon Guns category, select the gun you want, and press equip. The redesigned Equipment Bag now holds Fishing Rods, Spears, and Harpoon Guns together with a category selector.
You know a gun is yours when it shows up in that Harpoon Guns section and can be equipped. When you have all seven, the inventory shows the Harpoon Gun set at 100% unlocked. If a purchase point seems missing at the right coordinates, the cause is usually poor visibility during a dark server event rather than a wrong location, so search the immediate area carefully before moving on.
