Fisch: Best Money Methods After the Brine Storm Nerf

Three fishing routines that still clear tens of millions of C$ now that totem spamming is capped.

Brine Storm is no longer the one-button money machine it used to be in Fisch. The event now runs longer per activation, but a hard cooldown stops you from chaining totems back to back, which kills the old rapid-fire farm. The good news is that the payouts are still huge if you build a proper cycle around it, and one method in The Depths actually beats the old numbers.

Quick answer: The highest earner is Absolute Darkness in The Depths, which cleared 68,205,233 C$ in 8 minutes after a Gold Coin sell bonus. Two slower routines through Living Garden and Brine Pool still earn 53–58 million C$ per run.

What the Brine Storm nerf changed

Brine Storm duration went from 3 minutes to 5 minutes, so a single event now lasts longer. In exchange, a 7-minute global cooldown was added before another Brine Storm can spawn. Trying to pop a second totem during that window returns the message “A Brine Storm can’t be started right now.”

That cooldown cannot be skipped with more totems, which is why stacking totems in one spot no longer works. Every method below is designed to fill that dead time with fishing somewhere else, so you are never standing around waiting.

Each payout above already includes the +25% sell rate for 30 seconds from a Gold Coin used right before selling. Pop the coin as you walk up to the Merchant, then dump the whole inventory inside the 30-second window.

Craft the Mystic Mirror first

The hybrid Brine Pool route depends on the Mystic Mirror for a custom warp point, so make it before you start. Visit Merlin on Sunstone Island and craft it from a Magic Mirror, a Magical Crystal Geode, and a Magical Glass Diamond. Once you have it, you can drop a personal teleport anywhere and jump straight back to it.

Method 1: Brine Pool and Living Garden cycle

This routine fishes Brine Pool during the Storm, then spends the cooldown fishing out the rest of the night in Living Garden, so no time is wasted.

Use the Traveler’s Whistle to reach Living Garden in Lost Jungle. Head to the fishing water’s edge, then place a Mystic Mirror warp point beside the water. You can return to this location later.

Travel to Brine Pool. Activate the Aurora Totem, Sparkling Totem, and Brine Storm Totem, then fish the full 5 minutes until the Storm ends.

Return to Living Garden with the Mystic Mirror. Change your bait to Ember Berries and keep fishing until night ends, which should take about 8 more minutes and bring the run to roughly 13 minutes altogether.
Pop a Gold Coin, then sell everything to the Merchant. A full run sold 159 fish for 58,807,833 C$.

Method 2: Absolute Darkness in The Depths

This is the top earner and the only one that needs no Brine Storm Totem. It works by chaining Moonlit Mirage into the Absolute Darkness event, then farming a high-value Abundance Pool.

Equip the Moonlit Rod and trigger Moonlit Mirage. With the Moonlit buff active, catch 5 Lunar fish to stack the buff up to 5x.
Equip the Rod of the Depths; doing so starts the Absolute Darkness event in The Depths.
Find the yellow-glowing Ancient Depth Serpent Abundance Pool, then swap your bait to Truffle Worm and fish it for the event duration, which runs between 6 and 10 minutes.

Use a Gold Coin and sell. An 8-minute run sold 83 fish for 68,205,233 C$, the highest single payout of the three methods.

Method 3: Pure Living Garden, no event totems

If you have no Brine Storm Totems left, Living Garden alone still pays well. It uses only the ambient boosts, so there is nothing to craft or time.

Head directly to Living Garden and place the Aurora Totem and Sparkling Totem. Use the Halibut Harpoon rod with Ember Berries as bait.
Keep fishing for the entire 13-minute night cycle, seeking valuable species and catching Flower Guardians whenever they spawn.

How to know a run worked

You know the Brine Storm started when the event is active and totems respond normally; if the cooldown is still running you will see the “A Brine Storm can’t be started right now.” message and no event will begin. For the sell step, the Merchant returns a confirmation line such as “You sold 159 fish for 58,807,833 C$.” If the Gold Coin landed, the total reflects the +25% sell rate for the 30 seconds after you used it.

Always fire the Gold Coin right before you open the sell menu, not during fishing. The bonus only lasts 30 seconds, so the full inventory needs to be sold inside that window to count.
