FischFest 2 is the summer seasonal event in Fisch, live since June 20, 2026. It drops you onto a brand new beach island stuffed with mini games, limited fish, exclusive rods and relics, and its own grindable currency called Sunshells. If you want the rods and the rare mutations before the event packs up, here is how the whole thing fits together.
Quick answer: Go to Moosewood, touch the giant purple clam near the shore to teleport to the event island, then earn Sunshells by fishing, clearing NPC quests, and grabbing shells off the beach. Spend them at the Sunshell Merchant in Coconut Town and play the three mini games for titles and rods.
How to start FischFest 2
Head to Moosewood, the starter island, and walk toward the shore until you spot an oversized purple clam. Interact with it and you are pulled straight onto the event island, where every quest, mini game, and shop lives. There is no separate unlock requirement, so you can jump in the moment you load the game.

Sunshells are the event currency, and the best rewards demand a steady supply. There are several reliable ways to bank them, and stacking a few at once keeps your numbers climbing.
- Fish and sell to the Fischfest Merchant. Catching event fish and selling them is your most dependable income. Every 1,000 C$ converts into 1 Sunshell, so longer fishing sessions pay off directly.
- Clear NPC quests. Several island NPCs hand out Sunshells for finishing their tasks. Talk to everyone you pass and complete their objectives as they refresh.
- Collect from the shoreline. A wave rolls in every 25 seconds and washes shells and items onto the sand. Bigger shells pay more, with the rarest Golden Sunshell worth 500. Most drops vanish after about a minute, so stay moving.
- Open Coastal Crates. These wash up alongside the regular wave drops and give a bonus Sunshell payout on top of your normal haul.
Tip: When Tropical Sun weather triggers during the day, the shoreline wave rate climbs by 25 percent, making beach farming noticeably faster in that window.
Sunshell Merchant prices
The Sunshell Merchant sets up in Coconut Town, the built-up area away from the main beach. Follow the path toward the buildings and lights, then find the merchant’s pink stand to browse the stock. The Lemonade Serenade only appears after you clear Captain Conch’s quests.

Mini games and rewards
Three beach mini games hand out Sunshells, titles, and event rods. Two of them need a second player, so it helps to hop into a busier server if you want to clear everything.

Jetski Racing
Jetski Racing runs across a three lap track. Speak to the Jetski Referee to swap your jetski model or take a practice lap before committing to a real race. Fast finishes unlock titles and the exclusive Fischfest-ski.
| Objective | Reward |
|---|---|
| Complete 1 race | 50 Sunshells |
| Win 1 race | Jetski Racer title |
| Win 25 races | Jetski Champion title |
| Finish under 2 minutes | Red Message in a Bottle |
| Finish under 1 minute 10 seconds | Fischfest-ski |
Sand Castle Building
Sand Castle Building gives two players 15 seconds to memorize a design, then 120 seconds to rebuild it. The closest recreation wins, and each win pays 30 Sunshells. Entry costs 15 Sunshells per round, and an AI opponent is available when nobody else joins.
| Wins needed | Reward |
|---|---|
| 1 | Sand Castle |
| 2 | Green Message in a Bottle |
| 3 | Sand Castle x1 |
| 5 | Sandy Rod Shaft |
| 10 | Sandy Smudge |
| 50 | Sand Castle Architect title |
Beach Volleyball
Beach Volleyball is a two player game where both sides keep the ball alive by stepping into the landing circle as it drops on their half. The ball speeds up as the rally continues, and there is no AI option, so you need a partner to start.
| Score | Reward |
|---|---|
| 5 | Beach Ball |
| 10 | Volleyball Net x1 |
| 25 | Beach Ball Rod |
| 50 | Beach Volleyballer title |
| 100 | Beach Volleyball Professional title |
Tropical Sun weather and mutations
Tropical Sun is a daytime-only weather event unique to FischFest 2. It can roll in on its own at random, or you can force it during the day using a Tropical Sun Totem or Weather Matrix. While active, it grants a flat 9x Luck boost and raises the odds for several event mutations. It cannot be cleared by standard Totems, so once it starts you are locked in for the full duration, which makes it the prime window for chasing rare catches.
| Mutation | Bonus chance | Multiplier |
|---|---|---|
| Tanned | +15% | 1.5x |
| Beached | +5% | 6x |
| Paradise | +5% | 8x |
| Tropical | +5% | 7x |
| Sandy | +5% | 1.2x |
| Super-Tanned | +1% | 10x |
The Fischfest 2 Bestiary
The event island carries its own Bestiary of 34 limited fish and items, each tagged as Limited. That means a catch only counts toward completion when you hook or beach-collect it yourself during the event, so trades from other players do not register. Season at the island stays locked to Summer, leaving weather and time of day as the conditions you actually need to match.
Most entries can be caught anywhere in the water around the island, while beach items like the Beach Bucket and Plastic Shovel can either be fished up or picked off the shoreline. Two catches sit in fixed pools rather than open water. The Chillin’ Crab pool is at (-24727, 2595, -4515) and the Crabby Coconut pool is at (-24021, 2594, -4244). Cast at those exact spots with the listed bait.

| TBA | ??? | ??? | ??? |
Track your progress in the Bestiary book under the Fischfest 2 tab. Hitting the 50% mark unlocks a shortcut, letting you equip the Magical Conch to teleport straight to the island instead of returning to Moosewood each time. One entry, listed as TBA, has not been revealed yet, so its bait and conditions are still unknown.
If a catch refuses to register, the cause is usually simple. Night-only fish like the BBQ Bass and Cooler Catfish will not appear during the day, and weather-gated catches need that exact weather running before you cast. The steadiest path to 100% is to bank the no-requirement beach items first, then sit out the day and night windows as Tropical Sun, Foggy, Windy, Rain, and Clear cycle through.
