How to Beat Dark King Clipexor and Light King Wispreign in Evomon

Dark King Clipexor and Light King Wispreign are the two Season 1 endgame bosses added in Evomon’s Update 1.1.0. Both sit at Level 200, both punish players who bring a full squad, and both are handled most reliably by a single, fully built Grass attacker. The plan is the same for each fight: survive the damage race with self-healing, then push your Special Attack as high as it goes before finishing.

Quick answer: Solo each boss with one high-level Tarragon. Stack Seed Bomb for Growth healing, raise Special Attack to +30 with Fighting Will, then finish with Leaf Storm III and Verdant Beam.

Where to find Dark King Clipexor and Light King Wispreign

Both bosses are reached from the Island Map. Open the map with the pin icon in the top-left corner, choose World Select, then pick Seasonal Island to reveal the teleport destinations.

Teleport to whichever island you want to clear first, walk up to the boss, and open the battle dialogue to begin.

Boss mechanics that punish full teams

Each boss has a mechanic tied to how many Evomon you bring, which is the main reason a solo lineup outperforms a full party.

Light King Wispreign gains PP and stacks +30% enemy Skill DMG for every allied Evomon that faints. Fielding several monsters feeds it and makes each turn deadlier.
Dark King Clipexor is immune to abnormal status and stat reductions, restores 1 PP per turn, and removes 25% of your Evomon’s Max HP whenever you use an Ultimate Skill.

Bring only one Evomon into either fight. With nothing else on your bench to faint, Wispreign never builds its damage stacks, and the entire battle becomes a controlled one-monster damage race.

The solo Tarragon build that clears both bosses

Tarragon is the single monster that can carry both fights on its own. It heals itself with Growth, buffs its own Special Attack, and hits hard enough to close out a Level 200 boss. You can get one by catching wild Tarro in Murkwood (Lv. 135) and evolving it into Tarragon.

Speed does not matter in these long fights, so the Quiet nature’s Speed penalty is a non-issue while its Special Attack boost feeds every Grass attack you throw.

How to beat Light King Wispreign

Teleport to Solaris Isle and start the fight with a single Tarragon locked in as your leader. Do not bring a second Evomon, or Wispreign will begin stacking damage the moment anything faints.

Open with Seed Bomb and keep casting it until you reach 10 stacks of Growth. Each stack adds per-turn HP regeneration, and at ten stacks Tarragon heals enough to shrug off Wispreign’s hits.

Switch to Fighting Will (or Fighting Will II) and cast it repeatedly to raise Special Attack all the way to +30 (+300%). Your Growth healing keeps you alive while you set up.

With buffs maxed, unleash Leaf Storm III and Verdant Beam. The stacked Special Attack turns these into massive hits that drop Wispreign quickly. When it falls, a capture prompt appears so you can catch Wispark, followed by a Victory screen granting exp eggs and gold.

How to beat Dark King Clipexor

Dark King Clipexor is a Level 200 Dark-type boss with 16,512 HP. It cannot be poisoned or stat-reduced when you solo it with Tarragon, so this is a pure damage race backed by heavy self-healing.

Teleport to Lunaria Isle, walk up to the boss, and open the dialogue to enter the encounter with your single Tarragon.

Stack Seed Bomb to 10 Growth stacks first. Because Clipexor removes 25% of your Max HP every time you fire an Ultimate Skill, you want strong regeneration running before you commit to Leaf Storm III.

Max out Special Attack with Fighting Will up to +30, letting your Growth healing absorb Clipexor’s dark slash attacks while you build.

Chip the boss down with Verdant Beam and Leaf Storm III until its large HP bar empties. On defeat you get a capture attempt for Clipdow, then a Victory screen with fruit items and coins.

Alternative teams for Dark King Clipexor

If you do not have a finished Tarragon, Clipexor can also be worn down with other builds that follow the same heal-buff-attack pattern.

Thordlord solo

A Lv. 180 Thordlord repeats Seed Bomb for survival padding, then stacks Rally (or Combat Spirit) to raise Attack and Special Attack. Once buffed, Earth Pulse and Earth Fissure III deal the heavy damage that finishes the boss.

Full Bug and Poison team

Since Bug is the super-effective type against Clipexor, a full party built around Chitaladin works if your roster is finished. Chitaladin supplies Bug damage and Poison utility, while Tarragon, Arcapex, Lavarock, and Volcrest fill the remaining slots as attackers. The catch is that a full team is only viable here, not against Wispreign, and every monster must be fully trained or the long fight will wear the party down before the HP bar drops.

Confirming the clear

You know each fight is won when the boss drops into a Catch state and the capture prompt appears, followed by the Victory reward screen. Wispreign yields Wispark plus exp eggs and gold, and Clipexor yields Clipdow along with fruit items and coins. Bring your strongest catching tool into both encounters, because the capture attempt is your only chance to add the boss form to your box before leaving the arena.
