Unable to play Apex Legends on your PC that is running an AMD FX series processor? There are plenty of players out there who have the server time out issue in Apex Legends and most of them happen to be AMD FX 6300 users.

While EA and Respawn devs are aware of the issue with AMD processors, there is still no patch to fix the issue. Thankfully, user BogutUndersaw over at EA community forums has suggested a fix that has reportedly helped many AMD CPU users iron out server connectivity issues in Apex Legends.

According to BogutUndersaw, the issue with Apex Legends throwing server time out error on AMD FX series processor has something to do with the Windows sound service. Manually restarting the Windows audio service fixes the problem.

  1. Launch Apex Legends on your PC.
  2. Go back to your Desktop while the game is running, press Win + R key to launch the Run command box, then type services.msc into the Run box and hit enter.
  3. Look for Windows Audio Endpoint Builder service (it’s at the end of the list), right-click on it and select Stop. You’ll get a confirmation popup window, click Yes.
  4. Now right-click on Windows Audio service (right above the endpoint service), and select Start from the context menu.

That’s it. Now play Apex Legends to see if the above trick fixes the server time out issue on your PC.

Happy Gaming!
