Week 9 of Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2 brings five challenges tied to the Dark Voyager storyline, with rewards that push you closer to wrapping the Battle Pass before the season ends. The objectives mix straightforward combat tasks with location-specific lookups, and a couple have wording that can trip players up if you skim the quest log.

Week 9 quest list
| Quest | Target | Fastest method |
|---|---|---|
| Eliminate players at Named Locations | 5 | Drop into any named POI and contest landers |
| Stockpile weapons from Rivalry Vending Stations | 3 | Purchase weapons using Rival Credits |
| Damage opponents with the Chaos Reloader shotgun | 500 | Hit the Dark Voyager boss in Dark Dominion |
| Steal weapons from containers at Battlewood Boulevard or Sandy Strip | 20 | Open chests at Sandy Strip across a few games |
| Decrypt a recording from The Paradigm at a Holotable | 1 | Interact with any of the four Holotables |
Eliminate players at Named Locations
You need five eliminations, and only players that drop inside one of the 14 Named Locations on the map will count. NPC and boss kills are excluded, so target real opponents who land near you.
The simplest approach is to track another player's glide path out of the Battle Bus and drop on top of them at a marked POI. Hot landing spots with multiple chests tend to draw more enemies, which helps stack progress across a couple of matches if you can't get all five in one drop.

Stockpile weapons from Rivalry Vending Stations
The wording is misleading. You aren't stockpiling anything from your inventory, you're buying weapons. Rivalry Vending Stations are marked on the map with a crossed-swords icon, and the left-hand screen at each station lets you spend Rival Credits on weapons.
To earn Rival Credits, start a Rivalry at the central screen on the station, which assigns you a target. Eliminate that target to collect credits, then return to any station to purchase. You need three purchases total to clear the quest, and each station usually offers three weapons to choose from.

Damage opponents with the Chaos Reloader shotgun
The Chaos Reloader Shotgun spawns as floor loot and inside chests. Drop into Dark Dominion to find one quickly, since it has dense loot and the Dark Voyager boss patrols the area.
The Dark Voyager has a large health pool, and each shotgun blast lands around 80+ damage, so a handful of hits will burn through the 500 damage requirement without needing a successful PvP fight. Boss damage counts toward the total.

Steal weapons from containers at Battlewood Boulevard or Sandy Strip
Only chests opened at Sandy Strip (east of the map center) and Battlewood Boulevard (south of center) register progress. You need to pick up the weapon that drops from each chest 20 times.
Sandy Strip is the better farm spot because chests are clustered closer together, and the area is more open. Turning on Visual Sound Effects in the UI settings will display chest icons through walls, which speeds up routing between containers. Expect this one to take two or three games unless lobbies clear out fast.

Decrypt a recording from The Paradigm at a Holotable
There are four Holotables placed in small buildings around the map. You only need to interact with one to finish the quest, and you don't have to wait for the recording to play out.
| Holotable location | Map reference |
|---|---|
| Humble Hills | Small building south of the POI |
| New Sanctuary | Small building above the "R" in the name |
| Sandy Strip | Cliffside building west of the POI |
| Wonkeeland | Small building below the "D" in the name |
Landing directly on top of a Holotable at match start is the cleanest way to clear this, since the interaction is instant and you can rotate out to other quests immediately after.
Recommended order
If you want to stack progress efficiently, start with the Holotable interaction on your initial drop, then move toward Dark Dominion to grab the Chaos Reloader and chip away at the Dark Voyager. Save the Rivalry purchases and Named Location eliminations for follow-up matches once you're already engaged in PvP, and treat Sandy Strip chest runs as a dedicated loot-only game when lobbies are quiet.
Each quest you complete contributes to Battle Pass XP, which matters more in the back half of the season if you're trying to finish bonus reward pages before Chapter 7 Season 2 closes out.
